I cant believe the score is 4.1 for this amazing place. Pano in Konstanz is really one of my favorite places ever. The restaurant is big, bright, and very beautiful inside. It feels cozy and elegant at the same time, and everything is decorated with good taste. The place is quite spacious and upstairs they even have a fine dining restaurant, I think with one of the top chefs in Germany. It’s really impressive and worth to visit.
They open early in the morning so it’s perfect for breakfast or brunch. The food is always amazing. They have so many choices, hot sandwiches with salmon, chicken, or German cheese, also nice eggs and pastries. Everything is always fresh and tasty. The coffee is great too, and the cappuccino comes with nice foam and chocolate on top.
I came here many times, with my sister, with my friends, and also with my family. Every time we enjoy it so much. The service is friendly and the people who work here are kind and fast. I love the atmosphere, and how clean and well organized everything is. Every corner is so picturesque, like you just want to stop and take a photo. It’s really one of those places where every angle looks beautiful.
Whenever I visit Konstanz, I always come back to Pano. It feels special, warm, and full of good energy. This place is just perfect to start your day or to relax after walking around the city. I really, really love it and recommend it...
Read moreA long waiting list due to the touristic location and Corona, which was fine since it was to be expected at around midday.
Once getting our food and drinks, taking place in one of few sunny spots outside on the terras (nice but construction site at other side of the street making noise was less fun, not their fault though, so no bad words about that).
The food was good, freshly made on the spot and once ordered didn't take long at all to prepare. We also ordered some cappuccinos, which to me brought the score down to a 4, but honestly I was doubting to give them a 3 because of it. The first cappuccino was reheated, too thick foam that actually turned out fine-ish visually, the second cappuccino was a mix of new and old foam together, even thicker than the previous that was basically 'thrown' in the cup. I saw the girl behind the register look at the coffee being prepared by her colleague, to which she rolled her eyes and glanced shortly at me. You don't always need words to send a message.
Overall I have no bad experiences with Pano, the guy behind the coffee machine probably was just stressed because of the amount of costumers standing in line waiting to be served. This can happen, I have my own history in hospitality, I know what it's like, no hard feelings, I myself would have remade the cappuccino if it turned out the way...
Read moreFood: for people who enjoy a bit more "exclusively" prepared bread, I'm sure it is it quite good. There was not that many "meat" options however.
Ordering: Takes a while to order no matter what you are trying to get a hold of because of inefficient personal and queue system.
Coffee: below average quality barista, does not know how to pour a cappucino for good taste. Beans seem to be below average aswell.
Desserts: Schwarzwald cake got a really high grade from my wife, one of the better that she had, although "a bit much alcohol taste".
HOWEVER: ice cream was horrible, watered out taste and full with ice chips, most likely melted and refrozen. I did get my money back, but it was horrible that they even try to sell it as ice cream. Go to Lago center instead, there they have a awesome ice cream place.
Locale: it's nice and spacious and has some interesting...
