Brasserie Chez Léon — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Konstanz

A nice restaurant close to the lake with good food. The decoration and ambience is very comfortable; modern, but not over the top. The waiters are always friendly and have a good sense of humor.

The food is also great, however, inconsistent in its quality/way of making. I've been there multiple times and had a pizza three times. It was delicious every time, but there was a noticeable difference in the dough (not necessarily in a bad way). Also had the tiramisu a few times - on two occasions it was basically a tasty creamy mush that kinda tasted like tiramisu, but not quite, as is was mostly cream. I suppose the reason behind that is that it was the remainder and therefore not so nicely shaped. Nothing else to complain about, the other dishes I tried...

Heute hab ich mal das Chez Léon in Konstanz getestet. Bekannt dafür, dass es sich noch im „Touristengürtel“ befindet. Ich hab mir einige Kommentare bereits auch schon durchgelesen und viel über das Chez Léon gelesen. Mein erster Eindruck, tolles Ambiente, sehr hell und einladend. Als ich reinkam wurde ich freundlich begrüsst und habe noch einen schönen Sitzplatz erhalten. Zur Mittagszeit war das Restaurant doch schon recht gut gefüllt. Nachdem ich die Speisekarte erhalten habe, meine Bestellung aufgegeben, habe ich relativ schnell auch schon meine Cola erhalten. Personal war freundlich und als ich auch das Essen bekam, hab ich noch nach Parmesan und Pfeffer gefragt, keine 2 Minuten hab ich auch das an den Platz bekommen. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass das Personal lächelnd auf den Kunden zugegangen ist und sehr präzise arbeitete. Wie gesagt, ich hab in den Kommentaren Gelesen, dass es oft anders der Fall ist, aber eben jedes Mal kann man nur eine „Momentaufnahme“ erleben. Die Muscheln waren sehr frisch, auch die Aufmachung sehr ansprechend. Zu Bemängeln gab es nur, dass die Sauce wenig Pfiff hatte, hätte mir noch Petersilie vorstellen können, etwas mehr Knoblauch oder eine kleine Peperoncini, um das Geschmackserlebnis abzurunden. Das Gericht war auf jeden Fall gut. Einziger Minuspunkt sind sicherlich die Getränkepreise.... Ein grosser Eistee kostet 4,10€, aber eine grosse Spezi 5,20€, empfinde ich für übertrieben.

Fazit: Wer schönes Ambiente sucht und gute Leistung sucht, ist sicherlich beim Chez Léon gut aufgehoben, nur geschmacklich war es für mich einen Tick zu fad. Sonst Zutaten sind sehr frisch, Personal war freundlich und schnell (Kommentare sagen teilweise, etwas anderes) Kann man auf jeden Fall...

A great little Cafe by the street and close to the lake. Although we only had coffee (but from what we could see the food looked great!) it was a beautiful ambiance sitting out in the sun after a long walk through the town. They have a comprehensive food menu and for beverages as well. There is very comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor has panoramic glass windows to let ample sunlight in.
