Initially, seeing many people dining in, we had a great hope about this restaurant. We used the option of reserving a table via Google. But at the restaurant, they had not checked the online reservations and there was no table for us reserved even though I had received a confirmation text message from the restaurant. Soon, they partially setup a table for us and asked us to take the seats before removing the staffs' jackets from the chairs. There was owner's dog roaming around in the restaurant which was even entering into the kitchen. Some customers were scared of the dog reaching very close to them while having dinner and one of the staffs carried the dog away to the kitchen. It was disgusting to see that the same staff, without even washing hands, continued serving food. When we complained about this, the owner started arguing that they have permission to keep to this dog, rather than trying to understand the customer's concerns. The owner tried to demonstrate in front of us that the dog's hairs are not falling out. The food quality was also poor. The mattar paneer we ordered was full of oil. Anyway, at the end, we were asked to pay without giving us a bill. After the payment we asked for the bill and then she started giving us a lecture about their billing procedure. I still don't understand why the staff has to be that mad about the bill. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone because of the bad quality of the Indian food, rude behaviour from the staff, and...
Read moreI have visited the restaurant for the very first time only recently, the day before my birthday. I had no reservation and the restaurant was full. However the young guy with the turban, who seems to be the manager, did a great job and found us a table after a while. This is maybe not unusual, but he did it in a very friendly and funny way. Once we were in the restaurant we have ordered our indian food from a huge variety of food listed in the menu. We had Roganjosh and Chicken Tikka along with some Samosa and Curry Soup. The side dishes were Naan bread and Basmati Rice. The food tasted deliciously and also quite authentic. The prices are maybe not reasonable, but also not at the high end. After the dinner, the restaurant manager offered a coffee and when he found out that we were talking about a birthday, he asked 'who has birthday'. I said that I will have birthday the next day, and 5 minutes later he offered me a bottle of red wine (Italian Primitivo Bio Wine). He said that he will not congratulate in advance as this is not good, but that I should remember whe I will drink the wine that he wishes me all the best. This was a very nice and kind gesture. My overall experience with this restaurant was very good. The food itself was 5/5 stars. The ambience maybe also 4/5, friendliness of staff 3/5 but the manager was 6 stars out of 5!!! I will visit the restaurant...
Read moreI don't have the habit of writing reviews, but I was super disappointed that this restaurant had such high reviews and yet our dinner was a disaster. So here we go!
Pros: Good portions, nice decor, that's all.
Cons: 1. Food - Calling it indian cuisine is a sin if one substitutes bitter Parsley for coriander. Also serving paneer in a tomato paste isn't called paneer butter masala. 2. Staff - very rushed and hardly patient to answer questions or take orders. Had to wait 40 mins to just get the starters. 3. Seating & facilities - extremely cramped and hot inside. The fire department will find numerous offences here. 4. Cost - overpriced for the subpar food, almost 40 euros for a watery lassi & a ketchup based curry!
Overall, we were more relieved to pay the bill (for which we waited another 20 mins) and come out, than the time we spent eating inside. Never ever setting sight of this...
