Pathetic.....(
I have never seen such a bad service and even worst attitude and behavior in my life. I am an Indian,I know Indian food,I know what to appreciate, but that's different thing. Even if we forget the worst quality of food (uneatable onion bhajji, dry powder inside keema naan, cold masala tea served, lassi tasteless-they forgot to add sugar, curries just nightmare.
But lets forget it all (I am not such a demanding type person, specially when it comes to Indian restaurants abroad) but the problem is with completely rude behavior.
when we asked for an extra empty bowl to eat curry, the old man (who perhaps don't know to smile) said " WHY?? WHY DO YOU NEED BOWL. WE WONT GIVE YOU BOWL (without even bothering to say sorry)
When we said please heat the tea, because they served the tea before we get our parathas accompanying it,he again with even more rudness said "WHY?? WHY DO YOU NEED TO HEAT IT AGAIN? WHY DIDNT YOU DRINK IT WHEN IT WAS HOT ?'
3)we still dared to ask fro extra cups for tea, as we wanted to share it (we were 5 people, 2 of us were eating parathas and keema naan, and rest were with curries and naans),and again the same question "WHY???..."
We were so embarased by this rude bombarding of "WHY" that we later decided to name this restaurant as "WHY WHY RESTAURANT"
We were 5 people, and there was no one else other than us. The restaurant was completely without any customer, and they shall be happy to see us (which they were not. If they did not want to serve us, they could have said a clear NO).
And the food quality was pathetic. I am sure that a person who is not habitual of eating Indian food will certainly get sickness, and will carry a complete bad image about Indian food.
Avoid this restaurant for its ugly food and very...
Read moreWe had a vegetarian family meal here (2 adults, 1 nine-year old) in July 2025 after an active day of walking and swimming in Titisee. We arrived very hungry five minutes before the advertised opening time of 6pm and were welcomed warmly and seated immediately.
We ordered four main courses (which all come with rice), four poppadums, one naan, a samosa starter, two local beers and two mango lassis, and even with a tip the bill impressively came to less than 100 euros. Service was quick, though note that the poppadums came at the same time as the main course (we were asked 'all at the same time?' and failed at intercultural communication by saying yes yet assuming that the poppadums would come early) and that they did not come with chutneys/raita; the samosa did come with raita. The poppadoms were super flavoursome and had recognisable bits of seed in them as opposed to the uniform yellow discs we are used to in the UK. In fact, all the dishes we tried were really tasty - and we consider ourselves curry experts from the UK! - with a special mention for the tarka dhal which was the tastiest all of us can remember eating for years. The 9-year old said it was the best mango lassi they'd ever had.
We can't recommend this place highly enough for affordable and tasty family-friendly dining. They take cash or card, and though we muddled along in German for a while they were happy to serve us in...
Read moreI have never been treated so disrespectfully and rudely at a restaurant like here. Absolute terrible service. We had already eaten and full but went here due to curiosity for seeing an Indian restaurant in Black Forest. We ordered a few dishes and a drink. With the dishes, the server gave each of us a plate and cutlery like they normally do. We wanted to order more food but was outright denied and was told we're not getting any more food. When the bill came, he had charged us extra €4 for drinks we had not ordered. He said its for the extra plates and cutlery he gave us with the food. He shouted at us saying that even though he never mentioned about an extra charge for the cutlery and plates, he gave us those and we used them, so we should pay him extra €4. Who charges extra for an extra spoon? Especially after offering it without any information?
It's not the money, it's the principle.
Spend your money instead at one of the other restaurants in the neighborhood and eat properly with good service.
Even the WC is locked they only open it with a key if you're a...
