I’d have to give the food a definite 5, service however was disconnected and slightly chaotic. So first off to the food: The Tagliatelle with chanterelles was delicious, portion size was good and plenty of sauce and mushrooms. As a starter we had a goat cheese honey bread (I’d rather describe it as a Flammkuchen). It’s quiet big so if you order it as a starter, even among 2, get the 0.5 portion to not get too full.

Service: they were probably 6+ waiters but only 2 seemed to take orders and speak German. We tried to order our food and we’re told ‘my colleague will be right with you’… only to see 10 minutes pass. Finally one of the waitresses took our order and advised us marvelously. The others didn’t seem to speak German - I asked for napkins (in German and English) and 4 people heard me, none took action - only for my husband to stand up and get me napkins himself. Maybe they just hired new people, so I’d give the service another chance when...

I went to this place for my birthday to celebrate properly, but unfortunately, I couldn’t. I had reserved a table for me and my boyfriend. We ordered, and the waitresses were rude. We didn’t pay much attention at first because we were celebrating and enjoying a bit of wine.

After a while, a couple left a table that had a nice view. We asked one of the waitresses if we could change tables, and she agreed. A short time later, another waitress came over very upset, telling us we weren’t allowed to do that because the table was reserved.

We tried to explain the situation, but all she did was call the manager, who was extremely rude and impolite to us. We obviously left right after that.

I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone — there are better options out there with better service...

Unfortunately this place didn't work well for us. Terrace is wonderful and the view is amazing. However after booking from their website (booking process was in English, confirmation email as well) we ran into an issue that DTelecom didn't have any 4G connection on terrace, also wifi was not available for clients. Add to that the traditional lack of English menu around here made us unable to order anything from the main dishes as we just didn't know what. We could not translate via Google due to lack of Internet. Waiter also did not offer us any help ordering food in English. So unfortunately we were not able to fully Enjoy the place and had to leave quickly to be able to catch another restaurant before the usually early closing times in Meersburg (most places already...
