Eiscafe Fontana — Restaurant in Würzburg

It was a shock experience.

We came from England after we heard about the town and the historical significance buildings around the area, and we came across this place Fontana, myself and my family went there to order and i put my bag on the chair and went to order, came back to see the rudest waitress ever took my bag from there and asked other people to take the table, i informed her in a very nice way that i reserved the table, she interrupted me shouting in a very rude way that you are only a take out orders as you ordered an Ice cream, well i said I ordered coffees as well as the ice cream, then she said but it’s a different prices and i responded that I didn’t negotiate or asked about the price and i don’t mind to be in a different price but what i mind that the way to speaking and the rudeness you dealt with us. But i will give a credit to the manager who came and tried to calm me down and apologized on behalf of this staff who she never apologized. And if i have a time, i will definitely report her to the police to teach her a lesson how to deal...

Meine Freundin und ich waren hungrig und haben uns spontan entschieden hier essen zu gehen. Wir sahen ein Schild auf dem stand das wir warten sollen und man führe uns zum Tisch. Dies taten wir aber nach mehreren Minuten kann niemand zu uns. Als dann nach einigen Minuten ein Kellner auf uns aufmerksam wurde fragte er ob wir Platz nehmen wollen. Dies beantwortete ich mit Ja und dann sagte er nur relativ angepisst „dann setzt euch doch an einen freien Tisch“ Nun gut haben wir dann gemacht. Nachdem wir so ca 15 Minuten am Tisch saßen kam dann jemand zu uns und fragte uns was wir denn gerne hätten. Wir sagten das wir neu sind und noch keine Speißekarte haben und gerne erstmal rein schauen würden. Wenig motiviert holte der Kellner uns dann die Karte und sagte „bin gleich wieder da“ Gut wir haben uns dann entschieden und wieder so ca 15 bis 20 Minuten warten müssen das wir bedient werden. Als der Kellner dann wieder zu uns kam bestellten wir ganz normal und entschieden uns jeweils für 2 große Salate. Als unser Tisch abgeräumt wurde bat ich den Kellner um die Rechnung und sagte das wir gerne mit Karte zahlen würden. Der Kellner kam zu uns und sagte uns den Betrag und ich bestätigte und war bereit zu bezahlen. Dann fragte er ob alles ok war. Wir sagten das dass Essen gut gewesen sei. Er fragte dann relativ frech ob wir ein Trinkgeld geben möchten. Ich sagte nein und dachte damit hat es sich dann. Dann sagte er als Antwort darauf „dann gab es ja doch etwas was euch nicht gepasst hat“. Ich sagte darauf hin nur „ich würde jetzt gerne einfach zahlen und gehen wenn das ok ist“ Dann hielt er mir das Kartenlesegerät hin und ich zahlte den Betrag ohne Trinkgeld weil ich den Service absolut nicht ok fand. Der Kellner war unhöflich und unzuverlässig. Aber um fair zu sein, die Salate waren sehr lecker und dieser Tag ist jetzt auch schon eine Weile her. Ich wurde auch nur von einem Kellner bedient und nicht von mehreren also kann ich nicht sagen ob der Service bei allen Kellnern so ist. Aber ich werde da auf jeden Fall nicht nochmal essen gehen wenn ich den Kellner sehen sollte weil von ihm möchte ich nicht nochmal...

Shocking! 😬 Well, we sat at a table and waited for a waitress to make an order - drinks and dinner. As we waited for the waitress I went to order an ice cream. After we ate half of ice cream, there came the waitress. I began to order aperol and beer, but she told we should leave cause we have ordered ice cream. I argued and told we just killed some time and want to order drinks and food. She told no, we should leave. I was absolutely shocked 😳 never again here, although the ice cream was very good… such a pity for such nice places and awful and unfriendly service ☹️ The only good thing the other waitress made excuses for her colleague.
