Schönborn — Restaurant in Würzburg

Be careful! Very rude staff. There was a old waitress very unfriendly and rude to us. We got coffee vouchers by buying city train tour and wanted to take coffee to go because we need to leave the city soon. The old waitress was so mean to us all the time as if we owned her 1bn Euro. She said the voucher should only for dine in so people will consume more. Well, it doesn’t state on the vouchers or anywhere that it is only for dine in. We explained we need to leave so cannot have it here. Then she replied: people on holidays should take their time, if you don’t have time then should just go to MacDonald.

This unpleasant experience really ruined my trip. I wonder all the negative reviews regarding bad staff attitude is about the same waitress. If this cafe really care about its reputation, the manager/owner should really do some action(s). E.g providing a proper training to...

This place is only running because no one is checking the latest reviews. I can only echo what others have written recently about this place. Utter disgrace! The waitress and staff on the first floor are racist. After we sat down one new couple sat on the right side, service was provided to that which we ignored thinking its a mistake after which we observed everyone around us were getting service except us. When we tried to complain, the waiter told us there is no one in charge but when we went down and talked to another person in the staff, he turned out to he a manager in-charge who said sorry, but didn't accept that the staff is misbehaving on purpose. Schönborn is a well located café in Würzburg downtown. The interior is not very modern but comfortable and over two stories you have a nice view to sightseeing points such as the Marienkapelle and the library. The menu is mainly focused on breakfast but also includes snacks, lunches, light dinner and cocktails. As with most large menus, the food quality was not the highest.
