So, this one particular server here seems determined to give you the âtrue Texanâ experience by being outright rude (potentially racist) toward you. I canât speak for everyone, but for my fellow brown folks, youâll probably encounter a condescending bartender lady with black hair (she was also wearing black top when I went here last weekend) right when you enter, she'll eye you up annoyingly and then sheâll tell you the restaurant is âfullâ, even for a party of one, despite there being visibly empty tables. When you ask if you can at least get a takeaway, sheâll just look at you like youâre dumb, shrug her shoulders, and bluntly say, âNo, sorry.â And thatâs that.
I actually lingered for a bit afterward because right after me, two Germans walked in asking for a table and guess what, the lady also waited for me to leave before even responding... yet on my way out, I heard her confirming their table for two. They definitely hadnât reserved (one of them clearly asked about a walk-in table while I was still there).
So yeah⊠my experience aligns with what a few others have mentioned under similar circumstances.
Itâs really disappointing because Iâve been here before, and back then a different, kind, and genuinely cheerful server made the experience...
Read moreI canât understand all these positive reviews⊠I came in with my partner last night, we had 2 entrees (one was described as nachos with cheese, but was literally cheese flavoured Doritos with the kind of liquid cheese you get at a cinema, so gross), and 2 mains. A steak which was chewy and tough despite being rare, and a burger that was practically inedible. I really donât like to leave such bad reviews, I work in hospo and know how reviews effect a business, but the meals we chose really were just horrible. I will say the service was really great though! Despite feeling like paying 70⏠for food that was so poor, I still left a 10⏠tip, as the waiter we had was lovely and very attentive :) Maybe we caught them on a bad night, maybe we just chose the wrong meals, but I think you could try just a little harder to make the food...
Read moreThe atmosphere was great, almost made me homesick for the tourist trap restaurant's out west, kitschy but groovy! It's expensive, though, 16âŹ+ for a burger and fries, 19 (!!!) for chicken wings, and even appetizers are mostly over 10âŹ... but, that being said, the food was yummy! The buns are made in-house and it shows! Delicious, light, and fluffy. Burger was real beef, and the fries excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was cozy and not crowded. There are fun decorations in every corner. And even overhead -a canoe is suspended from the ceiling. High on wild west atmosphere. While i wouldn't go regularly (only because of the prices), i will definitely go back for a...
