San — Restaurant in Weimar

I’m very pleased with the taste of the food because it wasn’t too salty, and I appreciate that a lot! The pickled radish and salad was very good, though I wish the plant based bibimbap and bibim-japchae came with more vegetables and greens. I think perhaps they ran out of spinach, which is fine, but I’d appreciate more transparency in the communication. Since vegetables is quite important here. However, big plus for low salt food! +++++

And for plant based orders, it would be kind to add an extra something, since we often take away another ingredient, like eggs. Then a substitute like spinach/carrot/onion/mushroom is very much appreciated!

Nevertheless, staff is lovely and kind. And since it’s a busy place it can take a while, but it’s worth to wait a bit for good food. You can always enjoy the beautiful interior...

My mother and I had no intention of coming all the way to Weimar Germany to eat Korean food. We finally arrived in town, hungry and tired, just looking for something close to our hotel. We decided to take a chance. What a difference from the usual "americanized" Korean food I've had in Houston Texas! This was delicious and real! My mom entrusted me with the selections, so I went with what I remembered from my month in South Korea, over 20 years ago. Shared 3 main dishes: Bulgogi, spicy chili marinated chicken, and an even spicier pork dish. They came with an assortment of traditional appetizers, most of which I had never tried before. Disappointing experience. Food was too sweet and soup was tasteless. Portions too small for the price. Why charge 5 Euro for side dishes when they always come free in Korea? Try to be more authentic! Also 5 Euro for a bottle of water when you always get water for free in Korea?

Apart from that the managers behaviour is disgusting, he was smoking a cigarette 1 meter away from eating guests, and then even attended new guests, taking their order while smoking his cigarette! I wonder how this guy got a job in a restaurant. Unacceptable. Also they didn't provide any bill... they just say the price.
