It’s my small family’s go-to place whenever we want to go out for a bite and don’t want to spend futile time and energy looking around for vegetarian food. Their selection isn’t the biggest, but it’s a decent one to choose from. The food, for us, always has been above average – never terrible as some of the other reviews tend to suggest. I once tried their supposedly homemade iced tea, which I didn’t like. Since then I stick to fizzy drinks. If I could, I would rate the food and beverages 3 stars. The 4-star rating is there to represent their rather friendly service in this land of no service, and the ambiance. The restaurant has very well done interiors and a large outdoor space which is great in summertime. The location, which is just outside of the city centre, is also good and rather easily accessible. It’s also a decent spot for breakfast...if you’re fortunate then probably with sun shining on your table near some of the top floor windows. :-) EDIT: They no longer serve breakfasts other than buffet and 2 mini croissants, which is a bummer. Looks like we won't be going there anytime soon for that purpose. EDIT: The Asian bowl was a good idea, but ended up being a prime example of how easy it is to mess up food.

An establishment (café-restaurant) that I like to visit mainly because of its architecture, location, interior and exterior. In second place are the food and the prices, which are average for Wiesbaden. But all in all it is a café worth visiting at any time of the day. The atmosphere is ok, as is the service. Large selection of food and drinks. Nice view from the outside terrace and the lower part of the glass floor. The interior is also very pleasant. The toilet is reasonably clean, especially considering the decline in quality and service standards throughout Germany. Something they wouldn't have mentioned 30 years ago, unfortunately :-). Mostly my recommendation in all situations and if you are with your better half or as a family and also as a local single or traveller.

This used to be our favorite restaurant in Wiesbaden. Excellent food, great selection... no more. New owner, much smaller menu. No more steaks, Mexican bowls, fewer soups, and the pizza -- which used to be fantastic -- is no where near as good as it was. It seems the new ownership is pinching pennies at the expense of quality. It's a real shame to see such a great place go down hill so quickly. Unless they bring back the old menu and quality of food, we won't be going back.

Pitiful! Slow, incompetent service. Water was supposedly not available, only when also ordering a cup of coffee. After ordering non-carbonated water, the server brought carbonated water instead. After once again requesting non-carbonated water without a slice of lemon, the correct order was brought to the table, albeit this time without ice. After a wait of approximately 45 minutes the wrong pizza was served. When the correct pizza was finally served, it was barely warm. The crust tasted like cardboard, the 'sauce' seemed to consist of tomato paste with dried pizza seasoning. There was a smattering of cheese, an occasional slice of paper thin ham, and a few strategically placed sliced mushrooms. The manager defended the server and her mistakes, and told me that I should be content with the fact that she listened to my complaint. All in all, a highly...
