I lived in Wiesbaden from 2007 - May 2016 and the Irish Pub was my favorite spot to go and have a beer with friends or alone.
Great atmosphere, the staff is friendly and I've received many a free drink from them. Different sports events play on the various televisions placed throughout the pub. On the weekends, there are live bands and for the most part, they are all very good and can really get the crowd excited.
If you come on the weekends, prepare for the pub to be full. At around 1900, it starts filling up. Also, for those American Football fans, the Irish Pub plays the whole NFL season and the playoffs/Super Bowl! This is also a great way to meet other tourists, soldiers or expats, as these nights are particularly popular with them. Speaking of that, if you'd like to speak English, then the Irish Pub is perfect for that. All of the staff are bilingual.
In a nutshell, the Irish Pub is one of the best locations for a great night out in Wiesbaden. It's got a great atmosphere, the beer is decently priced and there is usually always something happening. I wish I could still go to this pub but I will definitely visit it, when I find myself in...
Read moreEnglish spoken friends, I’ve been there several times. Have been going there for years, spent a hundreds of euros for my birthday with my friends (e.g. paddies day). I was happy with the service provided. Tonight the black haired girl behind the bar was, after spending several hundreds of euros, very impolite: „Give me the glasses over there!“ answer:“ do me a favour bar girl, I’ve been waiting for 20 minutes, could you do me a favour, I‘ll have another 5 drinks…“ She insisted collecting the empty glasses…
Long story short, expensive drinks, no service but impolite. Would have talked to the manager… never let her being in touch with customers. Regarding other reviews, I‘m not the first one who made this experience with the customer incompatible waitresss. Go to Mainz, having a better experience my...
Read moreI had one of the worst customer service experiences here. The staff was unbelievably rude and unfriendly from the moment we walked in. The lady at the front desk treated my friends so poorly, to the point that they were brought to tears. She insisted that they speak German, despite it being an Irish pub, which made the situation incredibly uncomfortable.
On top of that, when we tried to provide feedback at the end of the night, they kept interrupting us, showing zero interest in addressing our concerns. At no point did anyone apologize for their behavior, which was truly shocking. I cannot recommend this place to anyone. It was a very disappointing experience, and we definitely won’t...
