Moritz Kebap Haus — Restaurant in Wiesbaden

This place is a real gem! Turkish restaurant where the food is always absolutely delicious and fresh. Our most memorable and favourite food experiences included the lentil soup, eggplant dish, grilled beef kebabs, lamb chops platter, grilled chicken platter and the salads. The Turkish tea served at the end of the meal is always a pleasure to have. Each time my husband visits Weisbaden, he very much looks forward to eating here, and usually does so 3-4 times a week. He's been enjoying the food at this restaurant for many, many years. The family that owns and runs the restaurant are very nice people, as well as all the staff who work there. The restaurant is always kept very clean and tidy, and the service is always excellent. The only problem I had while eating there this summer, was the annoying wasps constantly flying in and out of the restaurant, and buzzing around my food. This is the eighth or ninth Kebab/Doner establishment I have tried on Wiesbaden over the years. While the food was good and affordable, it seemed a bit bland and flavorless relative to other doner options in the city. The atmosphere was pleasant. I asked for a spicy doner sandwich (classic) and received a generally bland offering. The hosts served us some tea and treats after the meal, which might have been a normal occurrence or might have been in honor of Ramadan. Amazing Turkish food, great staff. We dined with grilled beef kebabs, lamb skewers, beef stew, turkey stew and lamb liver. Everything was delicious, not overly salty, perfectly balanced. We felt back in Turkey for a few hours. But the highlight of the evening was the Kunefe, best dessert known to man and a must try. No wonder they are rated the best Turkish restaurant in Germany.
