I had high expectations for this place due to the fact in early January we were rejected from entering as we were informed it was reservation only.
Food : Frankly quite disappointing , as you cannot serve imported Australian Rib Eye on a sizzling platter and achieve the requested "medium" as it will continue to cook from the kitchen all the way to the dining table. Sadly It was overcooked both times that it was served.
The Udon was overcooked as well, something I was looking forward too after two failed attempts on my Australian Rib Eye.
Gyoza wasn't served how it was suppose to be, it was more of a Siu Mai but truffles always saves the day.
On the side note, me and my friend enjoyed the cheesecake very much. A must try!!!
Service : Great attentive staffs, by far one of the best I've experienced in Accra.
Shisha : Iced Shisha was amazing!
Drinks : Would have expected more options as there weren't any Japanese Sake or Plum wine available, but overall still enjoyable.
On the final note, it was the ambiance, service, drinks, shisha and dessert that made up for the...
Read moreIt’s a beautiful place, the staff is good. They respond to you relatively quickly and their food does not take too long to come to your table. Their cocktails are actually so so good ! I 100% recommend getting them. I especially like the one called “akoma” (I think that’s what it was called). The food tastes nice too, and depending on what you order the portion can be devastating but still tasty. I had noodles and it was a lot but my partner had steak and it was maybe the smallest steak I’ve ever seen, yet it was tasty.
So if you’re really hungry, maybe eat a little something before you go incase your portions are small but you’ll enjoy it no doubt.
So it is worth the money?- if you’re trying to be bad and bougie, yes it is. On the other hand if you’re proper hungry it may not seem worth considering you may still leave hungry.
In my opinion however, I think it’s generally worth it, it’s a stunning, good location, nice staff,...
Read moreI was really excited to try Kozo during my trip to Ghana, especially because it was for our anniversary. With all the hype around it and how beautiful the place usually looks, I had high expectations.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed. December is one of the busiest months of the year in Ghana. It’s when people from all over the diaspora come home to enjoy the festive season, so it made absolutely no sense that Kozo decided to do renovations during that time. A huge section of the restaurant was blocked off, and that completely ruined the atmosphere. We didn’t get to experience the full ambience Kozo is known for.
On a positive note, the food was actually very good. The fish curry with coconut rice was a standout. Flavourful, rich, and comforting honestly, the kind of dish I’d crave again. But overall, the renovations during peak season felt unfair and poorly timed. It definitely impacted our experience, and not...
