This is no doubt one of the best lounges I have ever been to. I was there when we were given a courtesy call after a job-well done. I like the cooling system is so welcoming despite the heat in Accra you feel like to stay there always longer. It is located at the underground of the Best Western Premier Hotel so it has really cut out a lot of outside noise and distraction of the streets and what not. The classical music is always soothing although this lounge isn’t so recommended for dates in my own view, I feel it suits more of a group hangout because we went there in a group and I don’t think it could be any better than that. The drinks, the food, the desserts, everything is just so lovely. Although I had a bit of connection issue while I was down there my network goes off I couldn’t make phone calls nor text but I guess they had internet I didn’t try it though but my friends mentioned getting connected and the hotel too had one. I specifically had luggage with me so the reception helped me with it and kept it for me at their storage till the dawn when we were about to leave for airport. So practically we spent all we were meant to spend on a night stay in the hotel here instead of booking a night.. it was risky though...

Knowing the restaurant only offers outdoor seating in the oppressively humid Ghana heat, I would expect a concerted effort made to keep guests cool but that was not the case during our visit. Upon being seated in a spot where half my husband’s body was in the sun, we received water with no ice and weren’t offered ice to keep cool.

Then our cocktail order was significantly delayed. A table that sat after us received their drinks before us. My starter came. Still no drinks. I flagged our server down who expressed no urgency in rectifying the situation. Her response was “I’m bringing it.”

Our mains then arrived and STILL no drinks. I flagged someone down who appeared to be a manager and she finally resolved it. Our waitress gave a sheepish apology and noted that future drinks would be free. Well, that wasn’t necessary because we were done, especially given my sweat drenched husband was not too fond of his grilled chicken.

Vine is beautifully designed and could be amazing with better service but we left pretty disappointed. Good service isn’t about doing just the basics but going above and beyond to ensure every detail of a guest’s experience - the tangibles and intangibles - are...

I don’t often pen a review of restaurants as I rarely feel moved to do so.

This occasion is different, and it’s different because this restaurant really ticked the boxes across all fronts.

From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and engaging and looked like they were enjoying their work. I don’t like fussy restaurants where the staff are continually buzzing around you and interrupting the flow of the occasion so it was a pleasure to experience just the correct level of attention without it being over burdensome.

This created a very relaxed atmosphere allowing us to take in the buzz and vibe of the surroundings. As you would expect, the food was mind blowing - the signature braised red wine beef was sumptuous and my son was in seventh heaven eating his crusted chicken burger, “best he’s ever had”.

My husband and daughter had the Grouper and Octopus respectively which were tempting, scrumptious & cooked perfectly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place for a great family dining experience - it was quite simply brilliant and dazzling.

Well done to everyone concerned.

Immensely...

Vine Lounge is located in the basement of Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra. I visited with a friend for an early dinner on Friday, and I had a great time. We ordered the Sharing Platter (which comes with an assortment of finger foods including popcorn shrimp, fried squid and spring rolls) and the Brunch Platter (which has a variety of breakfast fare including fried chicken, baked beans, waffles, French toast, etc.) Both were so well-presented and delicious. The wait time was pretty short given the amount and variety of food these platters entailed. We also had number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages which while tasty were not all that memorable. The waiters were attentive, knowledgeable and cordial. The space itself isn't too well-lit which I will wager is supposed to be lounge lighting, but it did not bother me. The furnishing of the space is definitely chic and consistent with a lounge aesthetic. I would absolutely recommend for a quiet meal with one or two other people. It is very private and a great spot for anyone looking for a fine dining experience in Accra.

Aesthetically pleasing outdoor space with the garden setup…went here for brunch on a Saturday, I was warmly greeted and welcomed to the establishment. I ordered a bubbly cocktail and my friend a mojito , our food came and I had to request for cutlery to eat my meal because none was provided. The guy that served us was all over the place and everything was just a little off , we had to be moved abruptly mid-way into our meal because they wanted to set up a long table under the shed where we were seated . The long table was never set up nor moved , our meal got disrupted. The vibe was just off on this day …there were no serviettes on the table either. It was just sooo tiring having to request for things that should be available at the table . Our bill came and an extra item that we didn’t order for was included so we had to point that out and it was rectified. The burger I had was okay , It was such an “off”day when I visited .

Went to Vine for a family lunch. Reservations were done ahead for 8 people. Ordered a pitcher of mimosa, took 1 hour. Dirty glasses were given and gave us a hard time replacing with clean glasses. During ordering, the waiter read off a list of items not available. I attached a photo of all items not available (brunch is only sat and Sun) marked in red. The food took another hour. One sandwich took even longer due to them running out of bread, but the restaurant just opened…. also we ordered some items and was told about 10 minutes later those items were also not available. The final bill however still had those items on it. The food we did get, was basic in flavor compared to other restaurants in Accra. The place overall has poor management. Avoid completely. Also added a photo of the chicken flat bread, it is very sad. Awful experience.
