WARNING WARNING 🚨🚨🚨🤢🤮 Genuine review… food is grotesque

Staff on arrival were polite and friendly, we were all really hungry and looking forward to our first meal in Greece, with an amazing open view of the sunset… 🌞great…

We ordered our food 1 Chops with salad = ok chops with massive chunks of tomatoes 1 lamb and potatoes = plate of oil no flavour and hard uneatable potatoes 2 sea bass (well done) with fries and salad = raw looking fish very wet (scary looking) hard frozen chips and one lettuce leaf

I never write reviews because to be honest I can never be bothered but on arriving home I felt I just have to let other no, to save their stomachs and money…

We tried to be nice about it and the oily lamb was sent back, my friend had been put off eating…completely, to be honest we all were… the fish and chips never got touched but we figured we’d just pay and leave…

We were grossly over Charged for the fish because apparently without any hint was told only the sea bass is charged by weight 🤷🏽‍♀️ ALL other fish is €10 euros… we were not happy so the nice waiter turned very sour and reluctantly reduced the bill…

No one ate… all left Hungary €71 euros down

I promise you the restaurant next door I can’t remember the name… but the staff, chief and manager were 💯 better the food was exquisite… I recommend the tuna and salad absolutely beautiful… still has out door starting and it’s much cleaner…

Lovely traditional style taverna.

We have been travelling to Greek islands for many years and experienced the good the bad and the ugly. Delighted to say that Katoupas Paradise is amongst the best. Stavros and Michaelis are friendly and welcoming and Stavros is very helpful explaining the food and making recomendations if you're not sure of anything. We have eaten here most nights of our holiday so far and everything we've had has been excellent, traditional flavours, well cooked and prepared, including, fried squid Chicken with superb Patatas in the oven (so nice we ask for them instead of chips with some other dishes, however the chips are home cooked and also tasty and excellent) , Lamb Chops grilled and well seasoned full of flavour, Pork in Mushroom Sauce, a really excellent fresh Fagri Fish recommended by Stavros and much more we have yet to taste. The quality local Robola wine is on offer but the house wine is also very drinkable at half the price. The prices are very reasonable especially when considered with the generous portions, you certainly wont leave hungry. So if a relaxed good quality home cooked Greek meal in a family run Taverna, with friendly efficient service and a nice view is what you're looking for then we highly recommend...

I don’t usually write reviews but I was on Google maps checking how far this restaurant would be from a villa we are looking to go to next year, when I came across a bad review for this restaurant! With ridiculous warning and sirens pictures, so I couldn’t possibly leave without writing my own review. We come to this restaurant over and over again on our 6 years of visiting kefalonia! The food Is always fresh and delicious the staff are always genuinely happy to see you & attend to your every need! Please don’t pay any attention to that ridiculous bad review, take it from a family of young to old, and the fact that in 2 weeks we made sure we came here 7/8 times!! The food is so good and the view…. Goodness it’s out of this world! It’s an absolute must visit! The food is fresh, the chips are homemade and sooo good!
