Group of four (two couples) dropped by for drinks. Quite a few empty tables and we chose a table for four undercover because we wanted to play cards with our drinks and it was getting dark. Ordered a âŹ20 round of beer, wine, coffee and Irish coffee. All arrived fine but waitress appeared offish when taking both of the finished coffees away and us not immediately reordering. The beer and wine were still being drunk and we were waiting to order another complete round of four drinks. A few minutes later she returned and asked us to pay - which we thought odd but complied. Immediately after that she asked us to vacate our table and directed us to a table by the roadside. We initially thought the table we were using had been reserved or perhaps the place was closing early but no, she apparently just didn't like the look of us. We're all in our 60s. We weren't drunk or being disorderly - we just found it very odd. Anyway, we left without buying another round and with our tip firmly in our pockets. We won't be going back and suggest people...

This is a family run bar that my wife and I have been going to for many years. We like Ammes beach and although we donât stop in Villas in the area now in our holidays, we do like at least a couple of days each holiday at this beach.
One of the other pleasures is being able to visit this cafeâ. The family are always welcoming (to everyone) and Melina, the young hostess is a lovely lady.
The food is good, the view is great and it is all that one would want for a lunch/drink to get out of the sun for a while during or after the beach trip.
One other recent reviewer, on a table of 7 when arriving to a reasonably busy cafĂŠ, expected to be served within a timescale that would have suited Mac Donaldâs rather than a small family run Greek restaurant. They caused some distress and were asked to leave.
Do not let that put you off.
Itâs a super place for a snack...
Read moreAbsolutely wonderful cafe to visit in Svoronata run by a lovely family. The food is delicious, the atmosphere relaxed, the view amazing, the prices reasonable and Melina and Adrianna are always friendly, polite and work hard, making you feel welcome, despite sometimes being very busy when short staffed and having to deal with with difficult and rude customers as a result (really not acceptable). We always visit here when in Kefalonia and there has never been any deviation in service (which shows the quality of the Tropicana Cafe) and we would well recommend a visit. Thanks for another fabulous meal Tropicana Cafe Bar - we'll be back...
