I used to LOVE Megas. Long term, loyal customer. I come to the island yearly. But the new menu is absolutely insane. €9.00 for a gyro pita? Seriously? Granted it’s huge, yes I understand that. But what if I want a regular sized gyro pita? No option for that. If I want a gyro pita I pay €9.00 now. Eat half and either throw away the other half or bring it home and put in fridge? Who would buy 2 pitas and put the other in the fridge. I saw 3 tables leave half their food and leave. It’s not a good value, even if you’re really hungry. Elsewhere, it’s cheaper and just as good. Great food for grill and gyros lovers. The service is very fast and you will be served in a flash, except when it is the evening prime time and there is a big crowd, but even then the service is fast and precise. The young men who serve are quick and always in a good mood. They even brought us dessert from a nearby pastry shop even though they don't have sweets on the menu. I happened to be passing at a time when the owners were eating and I saw on theirs plates roast potatoes, but they weren't on the menu and when I asked about them I was told it was their own food, hence why they weren't on the menu. So I ordered chicken souvlaki only. When my food arrived I was surprised to have roast potatoes on my plate with my souvlaki. He must have seen my disappointment.
