This tavern is a tourits trap. I went with my family and some friends to have a meal after an exhausting day at the City. we ended up dinning at this tavern. Huge mistake. Everything started off okay,we ordered some water and starters etc etc but nothing could prepare us for what happened next. My father and cousin ordered Gyros which costed 15 € per person and the portion was really small, not even 100 grams. My mother and two of her friends ordered Pizza which was the worst they had in years. The cheese was like rubber and the pastry was burned. I ordered chicken nuggets and they came in a somehow medium portion with very little fries and the sauce was like smashed potatoes with the smell of dirty feet. The bathroom was dirty and the tubs were broken,we were so disgusted we didn't even want to wash our hands anymore and my mother saw a dead cockroach in the toilet. Plush there was toilet paper everywhere. The stuff was looking at us and were whispering among themselves the entire time we were there which made us really uncomfortable. When the bill came we payed 107€ for 2 plates of gyros,1 plate of chicken nuggets, one pizza and a club sandwich that was as small as a toast. Moral of the story, don't go to...

Service was diabolical, not attentive at all, despite plenty of staff late afternoon. Took 20 minutes to get even drinks order taken, which they got wrong, forgetting one drink and not opening the coke bottles.
Be aware they use the bread trick, bring you a basket of bread you didn’t ask for and then you’ll find it on your bill !
Most meals come with absolutely nothing, therefore everything is charged as an extra …. €14 for a burger in a stale bun, no salad no fries 😳 Chicken fillet the same. When the fries come ordered as an “extra” they’re frozen awful fries. And charging top dollar for them. My club sandwich was the worst I’ve had, cheap luncheon meat & rubber cheese
No cutlery delivered with food and trying to get anyone’s attention is impossible. No glasses for the overpriced large bottle of water either.
It might be the “oldest” restaurant in Argostoli which you’ll hear often but it’s also expensive and not the best quality ingredients with some dodgy practices. A perfect tourist trap due to its location. Which is the best attribute it has.
We will never be back & would...

Firstly, "our card machine isn't working " is not your problem. This is the oldest trick in the book to get you to pay cash. Don't fall for it Unless you are told upfront so you can decide to eat elsewhere, it's not your problem. When you are directed to an ATM with a 30% service fee up the road, you simply say either my card doesn't draw cash or I've reached my daily limit. At this point, their card machine will miraculously start working, or they can process your card in the restaurant next door, or you can call in the next day to pay with your card. Not cash. The food was not good. The draught beers were excellent. The waterside location was lovely.
Greece is full of great restaurants run by hard-working people. This restaurant gives wonderful Greece a bad name, and we will be reporting them. The Greek tourist board is proud of their countries integrity and honesty and have made great progress in clamping down on chancers and rip off joints. Stand your ground. You have rights. You've worked hard for your holiday. I hope you found this...
