First of all the place where the restaurant stands is amazing. It is right next to water bridge and you can see swans on the water, ducks and if you are lucky maybe even surfacing turtles.

Restaurant has overhead tarps set up so you won't suffer from the heat, but the reason for 2 lost stars are as follows:

Lost opportunity: They could have had better tables, instead of old style wooden tables with plastic cover they could've used better cloth. More comfortable chairs would be a great addition, because that is the place where you want to relax and enjoy your evening in comfort. Which is nigh impossible with those slick wooden chairs that serve only their purpose of providing a place to sit instead of a modicum of comfort.

Simple menu without explanation: This restaurant is not for people that are first timers to the cuisine. Waiters offer little to no explanation about the dishes and give almost no suggestions, it's like they do not even care much. Menu itself just lists a name of dishes and prices without any description or visualisation of the meal you are about to order.

All in all the place is good, but not if you don't know what to order. Full relaxation is out of question. The view is amazing though and you can even rent a paddle boat nearby (50 meters) to go out on water...

The place looks lovely from the bridge, but that is where it ends. To start of, the service was really the bare minimum level. No greeting when we walked up, or when we sat down. The lady who served us was grumpy, not attentive nor a pleasure to be served by.

They absolutely overcooked my tuna, twice! I sent it back the first time, clearly said it was overcooked, they sent me the same one even more cooked. If you are a seafood restaurant and you don't know how to cook tuna steak, I pray for you! I didn't eat the tuna, when we got the bill it was still listed. We asked to remove it, and had the waitress come back saying I said it was undercooked, ridiculous. There was no redness anywhere on that steak. When explaining that, she scoffed and without saying anything walked off. She came back and threw the receipt on the table. She probably left her hospitality at home today.

Also, we didn't ask for bottled water, got it (we thought it was complimentary) didn't drinkt it and they charged us. We did get it removed from the bill. Same for the bread, not complimentary but we ate it so fine.

The tzatziki was way too much garlic.

The Kefalonia beer was nice, but bottled and available in any supermarket so really not worth it. Go elsewhere people!! So many...

Really wanted to rate higher but have to be honest. Staff were lovely, really friendly and spoke great English. Very fast at taking our order and bringing out our food, but the food wasn't quite what we were expecting. Plate of calamari, we were expecting rings but it was a mix of rings and baby octopus. Head included 🤢 tasted very oily (like chip fat) no dip, side salad, nothing. Shrimp linguine for 16 euro!! It was a plate of pasta with about 4 prawns. We asked if we could have a half portion for our daughter, but was told no. She didn't like them as she was expecting shrimp (that is a very small prawn where we come from), they were big with heads on. But that's a very expensive meal for just pasta with 4 prawns... Seafood platter was very reasonably priced. 22euro for 2 people. But it said mussels, crayfish, shrimp and calamari. But it arrived with a huge pile of sardines, around 6 shrimp/huge prawns, 4 mussels in shells and 2 crayfish. Plus a pile of mixed calamari and baby octopus (see description of that above). No sauces, no salads on the side. Some lemon slices but all in all, it was very expensive for what you got and not as described. Plus the toilets were a pain to use, as you had to get a member of staff to type a pin code to...

For an appetizer we got the mixed fried chip platter. It was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst. I got the grilled tuna steak. It wasn't bad but it was a little dry. My husband got the keftedakia. He said they were ok. The view was pretty, the atmosphere was nice, and the servers were pleasant. Every restaurant we've been to, the bread they automatically bring to the table has been complementary. My biggest complaint with this restaurant was that they automatically bring bread out to the table as if it's complementary. Hear me and hear me well... IT'S NOT FREE! Not only is it not free, but they charge you PER PERSON to eat that bread in the basket. You have to decline it from the start of you don't want to be charged. (Lesson learned for us). It is written in the menu, but they bring the bread out so fast that by the time you read it in the menu (and realize that they are referring to the bread basket they already brought to the table by default), there's a good chance you've already had a piece of the bread and it's too late to decline it. ***Please also be aware that they charge you if you ask for olive oil as well.***

We've had grilled sword-fish. When you eat seafood, you expect a rather small portion, but that was on a whole other level. Never have I ever eaten such a kid-sized dish, except for when I was an actual kid. Do not get me wrong, it was tasteful and properly cooked, but you seriously cannot present yourself which such small portions and charge 15 euros for it. Even for the included sides, just take a look at the picture; 1 poor slice of eggplant and 1 poor slice of zukini. Really dude? A full grown adult would need 4 of these to even get its belly full. After having eaten here I went straight to the first souvlaki/gyros restaurant. Totally not worth it. The service was mediocre; the waiters were ok, however the cutlery was dirty and I had to wash them in the bathroom. Additionally, the floor was dirty with smashed fruits which have fallen from the nearby tree. The atmposhere was the only cute thing. Near the sea-side, partially quiet (street nearby was noisy). Fix your portion sizes and I will maybe consider returning.

Semi good experience. We ordered the fried calamari for starters and asked for a half portion, which was fine “whatever you want” they said, they of course came with a full portion and charged full price. The calamari was clearly a frozen product, but it was not mentioned as frozen in the menu. Very rubberish and no taste. The two main dishes were the recommended pan fried cod, which was okay but contained a lot of bones. Usually that is not a problem, but when they don’t advice that it might contain bones, then it’s not okay. Other main was the stewed octopus, which was fine. Romantic view right at the bridge. For the price, I would say you have better options in Argostoli.
