I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at the Old Village Restaurant in Skala, Kefalonia, and it was nothing short of incredible. As someone who is health-conscious, I was thoroughly impressed by the variety and quality of the options available.
The menu is extensive, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences and needs. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. From wholesome smoothie bowls to freshly baked goods, and a selection of fruits and yogurts, each dish was crafted with care and attention to detail. The ingredients were evidently fresh and of high quality, which made the meal not only delicious but also nourishing.
The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall experience, with a charming and cozy atmosphere that made our breakfast even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a perfect start to our day.

Read moreStopped in for lunch one day just passing by and really enjoyed it, great fresh food, good prices. Went for dinner later in the week and dinner service was really good too. Great casual dining spot, they really care about the food, it's fresh and delicious. Staff are friendly and helpful but discreet. Ideal, really. Can't fault this place, exactly what we like.
Should add the dining area is a covered, outdoor space. It's a nice place to be at least in summer when we visited. I don't know what they do in the winter months but I would expect they know what they're doing. They make the whole thing seem pretty effortless. They cool the place in summer with huge fans hanging from trusses just to keep the air moving (they don't interfere with the ambience), I'm sure they've got equally effective winter...

The waiter reacted very offended with ‘what can I say?’ It’s not about the food, but the principle, and the reaction was odd. When a colleague asked if everything was okay during payment and I said everything else was fine aside from this situation, she reacted equally indignant. Just say ‘sorry to hear that, we’ll pay attention next time.’
Disappointing. Strange way of handling things. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful place and generally the...
