We came to this restaurant based on a recommendation from another restaurant owner in the same neighborhood, Gazi neighborhood, I believe.
The indoor dining area was spacious and clean, and there was outdoor seating available as well. We were given an English menu, which was nice.
We ordered a Greek salad, the meatballs, the puréed fava beans, and the Dutch oven roasted lamb. We also ordered a half liter of house red wine to share. The bread basket was on the house. This was plenty of food for the two of us, as the portions seemed generous. Our total came in under 40 euro, which we thought was a steal!
Everything we ate was delicious. Each bite was better than the last. As stuffed as we were, we even made room for the yummy dessert that was brought out as a complimentary treat. (Super kind, and much appreciated.)
We are not Greek, but we imagine that this is what authentic Greek food tastes like. We’re glad we ate here and we highly recommend this place to anyone else looking for a tasty, authentic Greek, and...
Read moreUnfortunately we had a bad experience. First, they didn't bring our starters (didn't write down both and forgot to bring thr one anyway) so we ended up getting our mains after waiting for a while. We pointed we are expecting 2 more dishes. At the same time my husband found hair in his dish (it was from the lamb, not the staff members). They said they will bring another one so wr were basically with a salad and a main. The starters came quickly enough but it was already late for them as I had started my meal. Yhe second time the lamb came we had the same issue with thr hair. We decided to leave. They pointed they didn't charge the lamb (well, obviously). We would expect a bit of discount for the experience as everything came in wrong timing and without really apologising for this. Only.at the end when we were paying. In my opinion, it doesn't worth the prices as we eaten in great restaurant with...
Read moreOne of my favourite places to eat in Athens! Was introduced to it about a year ago by a friend when I was living in the area and to this day I will take anyone visiting Greece to eat their. Not to mention dates 😁 The food is divine and the people are absolutely lovely! Better to call and book, especially if you're going on a weekend, because this place gets packed full very quickly! The food is THAT GOOD! A generally excellent selection of plates, and it's always worth asking whay thebday special is! Also the house wine is very good! And honestly, the cheesecake and kormos are fabulous!! Definitely recommended. The psaronefri, beef in red sauce, lamb shank, are all excellent choices. We also had the artichokes a la polita (day special) the last time I went, and those were extremely good too! Do yourself a favour and...
