Well deserved 5 stars, no question. Excellent fresh, delicious Greek food in a nice spot with a friendly staff. Greek salad was outstanding, with very fresh vegetables, capers, olives, and very mild feta. Lemon fries were exceptional, oregano on top, freshly cut. Tzaiki was the best I've ever had, thick and creamy with great flavor. Fresh bread with herbs was even delicious. Dolmes with yogurt sauce were exceptional, too. Smooth and creamy saganaki. Mousaka was well balanced in flavor and nice. My sons' fried meatballs in tomato sauce were outstanding. My family agreed, the best meal we had ever eaten in Greece. Highly recommend to anyone. Reasonably priced, too. A real hidden gem.

Wonderfully fresh food and the waiter serving had an element of the cheeky chappy about him, making you feel like he was on old friend respecting your food choices. Of course you know it’s his manner and way, but making a customer feel they are making good choices, without being obvious, is a dying art - again, he’ll make every patron feel this way, but that’s why I’m sure they have many a repeat customer. Snails were good, salad was fresh, and the pasta was endless. Super value on every item, most things less than 10 euros, very pleased to have found the place and highly recommend.

It was my first trip to Greece and I was meeting a friend at this restaurant. We didn't regret our experience at all. The staff was ultra-friendly and the food was lip-smacking. We ordered a loooooot of food as Greeks eat a lot 😉 The best part was there were good vegetarian options as well which I couldn't find in Greece easily. We ordered zucchini balls, tzatziki + bread, saganaki, risotto, local wine and ice cream. I should say, each and every dish was amaaaaazing. The vibe of the place was really good, people were having fun and we also sat there for hours.

Our tour guide stopped at this spot for lunch. My guess is they probably receive free lunch because the back room is full of other drivers. He gave us several recommendations for meal options. We tried 3 of the 4. My son loved the Kebob. Several of us shared the mixed grill. The chicken was great. I ordered the fig salad and loved the almonds added to the top. We tried the cheese pie (drivers pick). It was a little strange but worth a try. The bread they deliver upon seating is fantastic. And who doesn’t love free dessert. All in all it was a good pick.

Have eaten here twice, the food is excellent and the service is fantastic. Contrary to the other review about the Mousaka It appears they have no clue what good Greek Food is. The Mousaka here is some of the best I've had in Greece. This place is a Taverna style restraunt, it is not an expensive overpriced restraunt for foreigners it's where the locals come to eat a quality meal with family and friends. The presentation is top notch and I would recommend this place for any foreigner staying around Petralouna or wanting a traditional Greek style dinner.

Ano Petralona! An area well known to us living in Athens for being always an alternative neighborhood when it comes to restaurants and bars ! Kapari-restau is really tasteful as the original kapari itself! Everything I tasted was to the point on the Greek cuisine so we are talking about original tasty Greek food! Service and atmosphere just didn't gave me the xtra vibe, eventhough everyone was kind. But don't forget that I'm a Greek girl ☺️🧿 And I need something more in a Greek mezedopolio!! Give it a try for sure!!
