From the moment I stepped into BOBO Winebar in Koukaki, I knew I was in for something special. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual and elegant — warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a relaxed energy that invites conversation. The staff greeted me with genuine warmth, took time to explain the day’s wine offerings, and patiently guided me through their selection.
Their wine list is nothing short of impressive: a curated collection of Greek and international labels, with attention to natural, low-intervention options. Each glass felt carefully chosen and paired with knowledge and passion. To accompany the wine, the food menu features creative small plates that show off fresh, high-quality ingredients. Standouts included a silky beef tartare, delicate carpaccio, and a vibrant burrata salad with local touches.
What really elevated the experience was the synergy between food and wine — the flavors complemented one another beautifully. I also appreciated the cozy corners and comfortable layout, which made it easy to linger over conversation and another glass. Prices are reasonable for the level of service and quality you receive.
In sum: BOBO Winebar is a gem in Athens’ wine scene. Whether you're a seasoned oenophile or just enjoy a good glass in a welcoming setting, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommended. Special...
Read moreI was looking for a cozy and quiet place to spend quality time with my girlfriend on our last day in Athens. After checking several other places around we decided that we want to escape from the typical tourist places. BOBO immediately appeared on our radar.
We went there around 8 PM on a saturday. The place had only a few tables occupied. We had a wonderful chat with one of the waiters that had wondeful English and provided awesome recommendationa for starters and a red wine that will match our food choice. We tried the carpaccio which was awesome. The figs and the ramsteak were also nice.
We finished our meal with a glass of local tsipouro and also received another round as a compliment.
I would say that this was one of the best places in terms of service and quality of food that we tried in Athens. It’s definetely a bit more expensive, but well-worth the price having in mind the...
Read moreWe went there on our first night-out in Athens for my boyfriends bday dinner (who turned 30th at midnight.)
We had a blast!
Awesome and really nice waiter (didn’t remember his name, he lived in London before that’s all I remember and explained us a lot about Greek wines.)
The starters and main courses (fish ceviche and beef tenderloin) were tasty. We had a bottle of Greek rosé and then a kind of local “champagne” as they didn’t have the real one on the menu. However. We had a great evening.
The bar/restaurant itself is so beautiful and welcoming even from the outside you can noticed it. Awesome design surrounded by tons of greens plants and lovely marble on the floor. They played also nice music! Chill vibes.
Definitely coming back on our next trip to Athens anytime soon. We can only recommend this gem.
Greetings...
