My recent visit to Indian Chef in Athens was nothing short of a culinary delight. This family-owned establishment, run by the Singh family, offers an extensive menu featuring a plethora of vegetarian options, making it a haven for herbivores like myself. The undeniable highlights of the evening were the Aloo Kulcha and Paneer Tikka, which are simply a must-try. The Singh family's presence is felt throughout the establishment, making you feel like a cherished guest in their home. Vegetarian Options (5/5): As a vegetarian, I was spoiled for choice. Indian Chef offers a diverse selection of vegetarian dishes from various regions of India. Whether you prefer the bold flavors of North Indian cuisine or the subtler tastes of the South, you'll find an abundance of options to explore. The emphasis on fresh ingredients and authentic spices truly sets this restaurant apart. Must-Try Dishes: Aloo Kulcha (5/5): The Aloo Kulcha at Indian Chef is a revelation. The soft, freshly baked bread stuffed with a flavorful, spiced potato filling is an absolute delight for the taste buds. It's served with a side of chutney and a dollop of butter, enhancing the overall experience. Every bite transports you to the streets of India; it's a dish that lingers in your memory long after you've savored it. Paneer Tikka (5/5): The Paneer Tikka is a standout dish. The paneer is impeccably marinated, grilled to perfection, and served sizzling hot. The blend of spices and smoky char make each bite a burst of flavors. This dish is a testament to the chef's dedication to authenticity and quality. Other Highlights (5/5): The menu offers a rich tapestry of Indian cuisine, including aromatic curries, fragrant biryanis, and crisp dosas. The Vegetable Biryani is a delightful symphony of flavors, and the Masala Dosa is as authentic as it gets. You'll also find a variety of Indian bread, such as Naan and Roti, perfectly complementing the delicious curries. Service (5/5): The Singh family and their team deliver impeccable service. Read moreI got served for three consecutive nights:
I FORGOT TO ADD. THEY TOOK THE MONEY FOR THE FOOD 17.42 EUROS. NEITHER DELIVERED FOOD AND NOR RETURNED MONEY. AND THE BEST PART IS THAT THE RESPONSE BELOW DO NOT CAPRURE THAT FACT.
This is not the kind of service we expect in a country like Greece, whose whole economy is based out of service sector.
There is always a way to accept mistake rather than pointing fingers at the customer.
I would have seriously rated this restaurant 5 out of 5 just for their in house dining. But for their delivery and pathetic customer service by non indian employee, I am giving...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant after seeing the reviews on google, sadly, we expected much more yummy food since we went the day before to another Indian restaurant that has less rates and was perfect! I usually never give a feedback about restaurants because taste differs from one person to another, but this time it wasn’t only about the taste! We ordered similar dishes of the one that we tasted the day before but we were surprised by the amount of sugar added to the plates, we knew that it’s kind of sweet but we wasn’t expecting that amount of sugar usually it has the sweet taste from the dry fruits and not from adding loads of sugar! Second of all and the most important, we ordered boneless chicken that came raw and when we told the server she wanted to give us another plate but sadly it cut our appetite so we kindly told her that we will pay for the plate and no need to prepare another one. Unfortunately we couldn’t finish our plate because we weren’t sure about the hygiene of the restaurant especially after passing by the kitchen going to the wc i took a look and saw the disaster inside but a guy directly came to hide the view so we couldn’t eat anymore and after all, We paid for all dishes and the raw chicken as well! we aren’t arguing about the fact of paying but as professionals, you can’t make costumers pay for uncooked dish that is returned directly. I hope that this comment will help you to improve your...
