This is truly a neighborhood gem. This is what it would be like coming to your yia yia’s house for dinner. Charming little eatery with a Quaint feel. Very welcoming and genuine staff. The owners work the restaurant and it shows. Now on to the food. We were not terrible hungry. So we shared everything. Greek salad was tasty and one of the best we have had. Capers and rusk were added and it was a nice touch. We ordered a stuffed tomato, and a stuffed tomato and pepper were delivered. They were both very delicious and you could tell cooked all day for that blend of flavors. The spinach and rice side was fantastic and the slow braised, cooked all day beef in a tomato sauce was spectacular. Fork tender great seasoning. We were stuffed. Couldn’t finish the last few bites, as much as we wished we could. We thanked the owner and got a photo together to always remember this charming little Greek bistro.

It was a disappointing experience for our friends, but especially for my wife and me, as we had brought them to this place expecting the same wonderful experience we had almost two years ago. Back then, it was a delightful surprise—an unassuming establishment delivering exceptional quality. This time, however, everything fell apart. To start on a positive note, the waitress was the epitome of professionalism. Her great attitude, kindness, and effort to ensure our comfort truly stood out. She clearly knows how to interact with people and make them feel welcome. Unfortunately, the food was the source of our disappointment. One of the orders came with rubbery meat, and literally all the dishes were prepared in ways that strayed far from what we expected… OK, maybe the salad was just that—a salad. In some cases, it was hard to discern any of the tradition or authenticity we had once admired in their cuisine. At times, we weren’t even sure what we were eating.

Came in late-November 2021. A professional establishment with the staff checking everyone's vaccination status. Mixalis and staff are extremely friendly and nice to chat with and explained everything well about the food/menu. Amazing lamb chops which we ordered two kilos and a bream/tsipoura. Yummy eggplant and freshly baked bread. What a wonderful dinner! And of course, a lovely dessert to cap the dinner! Blueberry jam over yogurt. I will definitely look to come here in my future Athens visit and you should too! Be sure to reserve in advance if you plan on coming. It will join your Athens adventure! I wish to come again had it not been for bad weather for a re-visit. Definitely, a friendly restaurant with delicious food and terrific service and certain that will be the case for you too!

Saw this restaurant on Google and we've decided to go there even though we needed to walk about 30-40 mins haha! I really like the eggplant with feta cheese, I think its definitely one of my fav dish in Greece so far. Greek salad was really tasty with all the fresh ingredients as well. Meat platter for two was a huge portion that we ended up taking away, my husband really liked the meatball, but he thinks other meats were a bit dry for him. I liked the platter in general haha This is a traditional Greek restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere that's provided by the bosses (they told me they are actually twins, till this moment I'm still not sold hahaha). They were both really friendly, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone to give it a try, you'll not regret it.

If you are touring athens and want Awesome Greek Food, stop what you are doing and go here. Family owned restaurant that will offer you off the menu items first. (Definitely eat those) All of the menu items that came out looked amazing also. When you go in, you will be given a tour of the ready-to-eat foods. You may look at the hot bar and think "meh" but trust me, those ready-to-eat foods will be hot, delicious and unlike any Greek food you can find in the States. While we sat, we saw many Greek people enter the restaurant to select items from the hot bar for take away. The owners were so gracious and generous. We really felt at home. It was clear that the family prides themselves on serving f*king awesome food and service.

Great little Greek Cafe within walking distance of the Intercontinental Hotel. Around 10 minutes away. The concierge recommended it and it was highly rated online. It was founded by some friends and feels like you’really getting homemade food cooked around a neighbors kitchen. We were not very hungry so we only ordered a few items. I had the moussaka which was very good. Lots of meat and great flavor. My wife got the shrimps over French fries instead of the salad it comes with. We also added an order of rustic bread that was toasted, nicely seasoned and sprinkled with olive oil. They bring everyone a complimentary dessert which was green yogurt with honey. I ordered a Coke Zero and the order came to €30. I would go back.
