Venturing into Fish Market Athens was a delightful excursion into the city's marine offerings. The ambience seamlessly marries a bustling market vibe with the elegance of a refined eatery. As you step in, the indoor fish market is an inviting spectacle, albeit with a characteristic fish aroma, which is part of the authentic experience.
The menu boasts a rich variety of seafood, testament to their philosophy of fresh, quality offerings. The freshness of the produce is palpable, aligning with the rave reviews about their fresh fish and seafood.
The price point is on the higher side, reflecting the premium quality of the dishes. Expect to spend around €25-30 per person for a dinner outing here, but the culinary experience justifies the expenditure.

Read moreReturned here for the second time in October 2024. I am happy to report The Fish Market is just as fine an address as on our last visit several years ago. In fact we ate here twice on this trip. So what makes it so special? First the quality of the ingredients. You will never eat frozen fish here as everything is fresh off the boat that day. Second, the food preparation is top notch. I ate the best grilled red snapper of my life there during our latest visit. The chef is just incredible. I should also mention the small but superbly selected wine list. Third, the service is always excellent. Yannis manages the front end of the house with great competence, friendliness and, if I may say so, considerable personal charm. He has also assembled a talented team of servers who add to the pleasure of the experience. Special thanks to Dionysia for her expert help. We strongly recommend this restaurant to any connoisseurs of fresh fish. Try it and you...
Read moreAs a neurodivergent person I suffer a lot from sensory issues. This place is approved atmosphere wise. Low music, acceptable lighting, comfy (but tall) chairs.
Food wise is was a delight ! Hands down the best ceviche I had in Greece. Fresh lemony herbal and the coconut wasn't overwhelming.
The fish n chips (Blackened Cod Fillet) was juicy and it was soggy heavy fried, it was made just for you out of obviously fresh ingredients. Mussels had a great fennel and garlic not overpowering taste. I am simply impressed. Places like this remind you that it's not so hard to have good food. Just keep it simple and fresh ! Keep up the good work, I have nothing else to add. Same for service 5/5.
Dessert was correct. Am guessing outsourced but def good.
