Lṓras — Restaurant in Athens

Went to Loras twice during our short stay in Athens. The first time we very much liked it. It was on a quiet Monday night so not much going on. It was a chill place with goos music and bartender hooked us up with almost a couple of beers on the house. Second night it was on a Wednesday night and there was a lot more going on, more busy, loud etc which was all cool. We started chatting with some other guys at the bar who got us a shot. Then food was ordered by the bartender and a couple of kebab skewers and bread was offered to my boyfriend. He took it thinking its all on the house since he didn't order it. The last beers were also filled up by bartender without us requesting them so we thought those would be on the house also. When it came time to pay, we got charged 30 euros for what should have been 4 beers without an explanation of what we were paying for. So BE CAREFUL. They might all seem nice and offering you all these items; shots, more beer, and food. DON'T take it unless you want to b/c in the end you'll be paying for it all. VERY...

⛔⛔⛔DON'T GO HERE, IT'S A SCAM OPERATION

Ordered Fischer beer and coca cola.

After paying by card I was surprised by the high price (10.5eur) and asked for the bill. They reluctantly gave it to me, but the bill said "drink 6eur" and "coffee 4.5eur" (photo attached).

When I politely asked for an explanation, the barman and waiter became aggressive and shouted at me that they charge everything non alcoholic as "coffee".

Then I asked for the menu, to see if a coke costs the same as a coffee. They said they don't have a menu 😆. At that point I just wished them good night and immediately cancelled (reversed) my credit card payment.

After reading the other reviews I see that sometimes they even use "drink 6eur"...

Oldest bar in Athens according to my Greek friends! Great local spot with the best bartenders (Pano is the best) come here for good cocktails especially old fashions because it is absolutely the best one that I have ever had. Prices are reasonable!

This place might be small and cozy but with the good music it's​ a nice place to go for drinks before you go out because they make nice strong drinks. People from the embassies on occasion come here for a quick drink or just to enjoy another's company.

There is also an outside part acorss the street if you don't want to be stuck indoors and want to catch the good sun day or just good air! Plenty of shade provided...
