Giorgos Manos — Restaurant in Athens

i’ve visited this place twice. the first time was june 10th and the second time was today (june 25th). i was traveling around europe and during these 2 weeks i repeatedly remembered the gastronomic experience i had here on my first visit. as expected, not in vain. i was not just lucky, i hit bingo finding this place randomly on my way to the grocery store because it is the best gyros in Athens and maybe in the whole world. i felt like the gyros god took my hand and blessed me with that....

We waited quite a lot and it was hot so that takes away from the experience but otherwise the kebab we ate was great, the pita was really soft and well seasoned and it had a lot of fresh vegetables, in our opinion it could have used some more meat but for 5€ it was more than we asked for. It was a truly wonderful experience. The atmosphere was what caught our attention. We sat down and a local elderly gentleman who was also a guest started talking with us and he was extremely kind. He recommended "Delicious Kontosouvli from fresh pork meat" for us and it was delicious. The staff is exceptionally friendly and when we weren't able to finish our meals they packed it for free.
