Ο κήπος του Εθνικού Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου. Ο αισθητικά αναβαθμισμένος εξωτερικός κήπος του Εθνικού Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου, αποδόθηκε τον Ιούλιο του 2020 στους Αθηναίους και στους επισκέπτες του Μουσείου. Το έργο της ανάπλασης, πραγματοποιήθηκε με στόχο την αισθητική και λειτουργική αναβάθμιση του προαυλίου και των χώρων πρα-σίνου, με απόλυτο σεβασμό στην ιστορική, πολιτισμική, αισθητική και αστική ταυτότητα του Μνημείου. Η έμπνευση για το σχεδιασμό προέρχεται από την ελληνική φύση αλλά και τους αρχαίους ελληνικούς κήπους, με αυτοφυή ιστορικά φυτά όπως δίκταμο, θυμάρι, άγρια ρίγανη, κυπαρίσσια, μυρτιές αλλά και παραδοσιακά καρποφόρα είδη όπως ροδιές, λωτούς, αμυγδαλιές και αμπέλι. Συνολικά φυτεύτηκαν περί 6.000 νέα φυτά, ενώ εγκαταστάθηκε νέο αυτόματο σύστημα άρδευσης, καθώς και νέος σύγχρονος αντι-βανδαλιστικός φωτισμός. Ο κήπος, που παραδόθηκε σε δημόσια χρήση, μελετήθηκε με έναν ιδιαίτερο τρόπο από την εταιρία, η οποία ανέλαβε το έργο. [..] Στον τρόπο που δομήθηκε ο κήπος, έχει υιοθετηθεί το μεγάλο δίδαγμα της αρχαιότητας: πώς η φύση μπορεί να συνδυαστεί με τα ανθρώπινα δημιουργήματα. Είναι ευτύχημα, είναι αγαθή τύχη, που τα ανθρώπινα δημιουργήματα πολλές φορές έχουν τη μορφή που έχει το κτήριο του Εθνικού Αρχαιολογικού Μουσείου. Very large area of Greek history, if someone loves Greek culture and it's roots then this is a perfekt place for you, plus people under the age 25 are let in for free, underneath is a caffe, staff is overall very friendly and speaks fluently english, food is also delicious, but most importantly the whole museum feels like a different space, filled with many statues, jewelry, pottery and knowledge.
