We were a bigger group of 10 people, after we had ordered a few minutes later the server came out with 3 plates of bread that no one had ordered. We thought the breads were complimentary since no one had ordered any bread and the server kept telling us to eat and theyll bring out more which they did, but the bread was 1.50euros EACH, not per plate, but each.
We ordered 3 t-bone steaks, once the food had arrived we got 2 T-bones and one pork dish that no one on the table had ordered. We informed the server that no one had ordered the pork dish, but the response we got was "you have forgotten what you ordered", the server later repeated our ticket and there was supposed to be 3 T-bones and no pork dish, but he still insisted we forgot our order (somehow?).
Now to the food, i asked the server before hand how much meat there was on the picanha and they told me it was about 800g, you can see for yourselves if it was 800g, so i ordered the picanha medium-rare but to me it looked rare to almost blue-steak. I am no chef myself but you can see for yourself if that is mid-rare. When i had asked them that the steak looks rare to blue to me, the server told me to personally go down to the kitchen and speak to the chef about it, he later took the dish to have it more cooked and they charged me 5euros extra for searing it for 2mins.
Now to the bill, like i said no one had ordered bread but they gave us bread and told us to eat, so we did, in the end we paid for 45euros+ for just bread. Now this couldve been my fault for not looking at the bill more carefully but since we ordered 2 Picanhas they put the picanhas seperate, so i saw 2 seperate T-bones so i assumed it was only 2, however on one of them there was 2 and the other was a single one, i found that to be decieving. I dont know if it was intentional but i would advice to take a closer look...
Read moreThe place is very nice inside. The food was ok both quality wise and taste wise. The service however was mediocre on all levels. One weird thing is that the waiter was often blabbering about nonsense sometimes for a whole minute and I had to nod and agree until he stopped, and it was quite awkward.
But the big problems was the prices.
We were two people, and we ordered four dishes: Two appetizers, one salad and one dish with mushrooms and beef (no desserts and no drinks - just tap water, and some bread that was on the house - we didn't order it and we didn't touch it).
The first appetizer was some really thin slices of fried zucchini accompanied with a very tasty and special yogurt. If I remember correctly its cost was 5 euro which seems like a good price. The second appetizer was some fried potatoes with three fried eggs on them. I do not remember the price exactly, but it was in the appetizer section and I think it was something like 6 or 6,5 euros. The salad was 9,5 euros which is way too much for what it was (nothing special and quite small quantity). The beef and mushrooms was 10 euros which is a reasonable price, since the meat was only 6 or 7 thin and small slices, I guess about 200 grams or so.
The problem here is that I paid 34,5 euros as a total, and the numbers really do not add up.
Overall, I did not hate it but I would probably choose some other place to try if I ever find myself near...
Read moreAmazing place truly. Nice ambience and chill music on the background. When I arrived I felt exhausted, but soon enough a smile appeared on my face.
I went in to dine with a bunch of Greek friends. Although they all were talking greek the waiter picked up that I was an English speaker and brought an English menu - thumbs up! The service was very friendly, right questions asked, chatty and speedy enough.
The food was simply delicious. We ordered a pork knuckle - advertised as a main for two people - for starters to share. The portion was huge and presentation flawless. The neat basically melts in your mouth and the accompanying veg is very tasty as well. I then had a rib eye steak medium rare, my friend had the same well done. You could see and taste the difference. They also offer other dishes like soul if you are not a huge steak lover.
The place is not cheap. For local standards I would say it's pricey. But hey, you really get what you pay for. A nice juicy steak will cost you 20€ and comes with a garnish of your choice; I thought it was a...
