Me and my wife sat in this restaurant. It was a terrible mistake! We ordered food and waited for the food to come. The "waiter" didn't even bring us cuttlery and after about 5 mins they came. Food wasnt special and when finished I tried talking and even waving the waiter but he was too drunk to listen while bothering other customers clearly regretting sitting down. Whilst paying my wife tried to explain to him, that he was doing a wrong bill and inventing prices but he didnt ignored her. He had robbed us of 7 euro. We went again to talk with the guy but he wouldn't listen as he was clearly drunk and not making any sense and told us to go away and started arguing about it. Finally we managed to get what we where owed and he started shouting as we got out of the establishment and not told us not to come back. Its clear being a tourist in greece isnt the most enjoyable as most of the people here are cold and dont know what customer service is, but this was the cherry in top of the cake! This behavior is disgusting and awful. i hope no one would go to this place and experience provocation...
Read moreI don't like writing negative reviews so I try to keep a straight head.
We ordered κοντοσούβλι κοτόπουλο, φιλέτο κοτόπουλο, ψαρονέφρι χοιρινό and καρμπονάρα, (chicken shortbread, chicken fillet, pork brisket and carbonara) and for drinks ξηρό κρασί and τσίπουρο (dry wine and tsipouro).
To begin with, we didn't wait long. The drinks, salad and bread were served 15 to 20 minutes within the order. After another 15 minutes the main meals were served.
The wine was deluted with water and similarly for the tsipouro although not so badly.
The Kontosouvli was great though, the meat tasted perfect and the potatoes were good too. I would give it 8/10. The Chicken was a little too hard as other reviews mention and the Psaronefri was a little tasteless and these two were around 6/10. The Carbonara was very mediocre. It didn't have that taste that some Pasta Shops may have but that was kind of expected in such place so I wouldn't criticize this. It was edible but around 5/10 though.
I would come here again to eat Kontosouvli and other traditional meats but probably...
Read moreVery simple but genuine and tasty cuisine. Very talkative owner, if you are Italian he will start to list aloud a string of cities among the most popular Ostuni! Alberobello! Isola Capo Rizzuto! Excellent dishes including the really succulent grilled meat skewer and the octopus marinated with exquisite vinegar, all seasoned with the friendliness of the tavern keeper who will delight you with his extravagant work experiences in Italy and throughout Europe. The tavern keeper is flanked for the service by a faithful and discreet taciturn but very skilled and efficient guy in the service to whom my friend has left a well-deserved tip. In the absence of Tentoura, the owner kindly offered us a delicious grappa and when asked to bring us two very nice and special glasses he wrapped them and gave them to us; A very nice gesture that is worth another...
