The dishes, though conceptually interesting, were disappointing in execution. The cherry tomato salad was unremarkable. The taramasalata included wasabi, which completely overpowered any other flavor. The shrimp appetizer was pleasant but lacked intensity.

The flap steak, requested medium rare, arrived closer to medium or even medium well (though that’s..somewhat expected in Greece) The meat flavor felt strange and had an odd odor. The tuna was cooked well, and the dish overall had some interesting elements. The duck was also properly cooked, but the accompanying purée had an off-putting texture—more like something made from instant mash at home.

The staff were very polite, but too few to adequately serve the number of guests present.

In response to the below comment from the restaurant, I called at 19:55 PM asking for a table for 5. When I arrived, we told the waitstaff that we had called. we were made to wait several minutes. When the waitstaff finally appeared, they showed us a table in the back corner for 4 people. There were several other tables available. I explained that we had called and would like a table for 5, and suggested we could take an available table. The waitstaff stayed this was impossible. They said we could wait (after already waiting several minutes) for a table to get up and leave. I again suggested we could take an available table, the restaurant demurred. I was conflicted between giving this place 3 and 4 stars, but landed on 3 because it cannot be said that the place possibly has better than average food. Despite trying to make creative dishes and having some good ideas, in the execution, the place misses the mark - most dishes were rather bland. However, the place does have redeeming qualities - first and foremost the service. You can really see that everyone really tries to cater to a good experience. They just have not managed to do so in terms of food yet. Keep trying, but unfortunately at the moment I cannot give it more than 3 stars, as we did not really like any...
