The Eden Hotel is well situated in the centre of Afitos sited near the square surrounded by tavernas. The staff are very friendly and have good English . Breakfast is served at the poolside and is continental. The hotel downside is it is not friendly for children and the infirm as is the whole resort. The pool is deep and access in and out for non swimmers is difficult there is also some steps which have no rails. The few children bit can be seen as a positive. For a crash out holiday for adults it's ideal there are ample good quality beds round the pool with adequate shade. The beach is a twenty min walk and down 200 steps facilities are good excellent beds shade toilets and a clear clean sea. Beds are free if you use the beach tavernas which are good we had all day beach days lunching locally. All in all a good restful location I feel we were a likely late in the season better early sept not due to weather but it is approaching season end and the tourists are getting sparse still all open but closing in October. The transfer is not bad there is little locally for a must visit but plenty for two weeks. Accommodation is good we had a two room unit with a kitchen unit adequate for small meals but why bother when surrounded by tavernas of good quality even if they all seem to operate the same menu at similar price go...
Read moreWe stayed for a total of 7 days. Everything was ok, the biggest plus is that the hotel is pet friendly so our dog could come with us for no charge. Also the location is more than perfect since its in the town centre and close to all the stores, bars, restaurants, beaches and more, and it feels very private and "away" from everything. The room we got was ok, but the kitchen in the room didn't have any pots or pans, so we couldn't cook even though there was a stove. Nevertheless we had a balcony, a big bed, TV and an ok bathroom. The breakfast was great, all a person could wish for. The service in the bar was also fine, it was nice that it wasn't too crowded so we always got a seat by the pool, which was also nice. Everything was cleaner than we expected because of the booking reviews that said cleanliness wasn't something to be expected, and to our good suprise everything was very clean, the cleaning lady came to make up our room almost every day. Overall a great experience, would definitely book again when coming to Afytos, mostly because of the location and pet...
Read moreThe hotel was clean and very centrally located in the small town of Afytos. The breakfast served every morning is quite good for the amount of money you pay for it (5€) given the fact that it's hard to find proper breakfast (except from fyllo pastry) in the area. However, the rooms need maintenance as the water flow in the douche is very low, the lights don't always work, the TV was not working and the bathtub had no curtain that resulted the water to go all over the place when you were using it. The wifi of the hotel was not working in the rooms at all but only in some parts of the common area close to reception where the router was placed. The personnel was very polite, but I must say a bit unorganised as I was waiting more than two hours to get inside my room due to the fact that there was only one cleaning lady that was trying hard to finish everything. The plus is that thy offer you free drinks as you are waiting. Generally, it is an average hotel (a bit pricey for what offers) with good prospects as long as a small...
