It is sad that I am giving a 4 due to rude customer service to this cute place with delicious food. Unfortunately I believe he might have been the head waiter who took our order and his English was weak but he also looked super overworked and tired at this fully booked restaurant. We arrived at 8:30 for our reservation and our order was taken about 45 minutes after, as only 2-3 waiters were running around trying to serve a full house. In any case 45 minutes is not acceptable but we had sympathy towards the wait staff as we could see how hard they worked. The way he took our order was very dismissive and almost rude as he needed to rush so I am not surprised that in the end he brought fried and grilled calamari. We had already ordered so much food that we had no space on our table or in our tummies so we told him we only ordered the fried, he was furious and did a hand gesture and a sound like “puhhh “ and left in anger. He also never brought another dish we ordered. In the end when we asked for the bill he ignored us etc… a total unprofessional situation but again he looked super overworked and we tried to ignore the situation and asked another wait staff for the bill and left. Having said all these the food was delicious the location was amazing. So it normally would have been a perfect 5 for us. Our reservation was 8:30 so I would recommend going early like 7:30’ish so you don’t catch the waiters in the situation we did I guess. Ps the beet salad, the grilled sardines and the fried anchovies were...
Read moreA Disappointing Experience with a stunning view
The view at this restaurant is undoubtedly stunning, but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. From the moment we arrived, the service was cold and unwelcoming. The waiters didn’t even bother to greet us and seemed irritated when we asked for a minute to decide on our order. This lack of hospitality set the tone for the rest of our meal.
To our surprise, no free water was provided, and we were charged extra for bread—even though we had ordered a dip. The bread itself was extremely dry, tasting and looking like it was at least two days old. The stuffed vine leaves were equally disappointing, tasting like they had just been microwaved straight from a can. The beetroot salad was another letdown, served half warm and half cold, making it clear that little care was taken in preparation.
Throughout the meal, the staff remained unfriendly, and when we asked for the bill, they looked annoyed, as if our presence was an inconvenience. The high prices added insult to injury, making it clear that this place is more focused on cashing in on tourists than providing a quality dining experience.
Overall, unless you’re just here for the view, I would recommend skipping...
Read moreThe first time in Greece we didn't finish our lunch even our kids didn't finish their pasta. I understand that you are a tavern, but your prices are the highest among the establishments on this beach. Your advantage is that the location is right on the first line in the middle of the beach. The waiters don't pay attention to you until you call them. How can you spoil shrimp? You buy them frozen and throw them right on the grill, one side is burnt, and the other is raw. Also, why do you add cabbage to all the dishes? Either cabbage is a Greek national vegetable, or it is just cheap and this is how the dish is given volume. The waiter spilled olive oil, I thought he would at least wipe the bottle or take it away, but he just put it on the table. I understand that you don't make tzatziki yourself. I ordered a "seafood casserole" and it had three mussels and a few pieces of squid, the rest was pastina sprinkled with cheese - and this is your Greek casserole? I don't think we'll come to your...
