To Steki Tou Vasila Tavern — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

After almost 20+ years of spending my summers in my holiday house in Possidi, his honorable excellence the owner of this fish tavern has casually and low-key kicked us out after we had already sat down in an available table. 4 adults and 2 children (2 and 5yo). With the excuse that there won't be enough space for the plates - i guess he possesses the power of clairvoyance and can see on the future (our order).

Funny enough there was another table next to it that he could have suggested to put them together as one. Funny enough, right behind us there was another couple waiting with two older children.

So when I told him that I am simply happy to give him my money for his food and services, he replied with "I don't need money" and proceeded in sitting the others and connecting those 2 tables for them. 💪😂😃

That is pretty rich coming from an ex-fisherman who I've known since i was a kid here. Not to mention that I have been religiously been visiting his establishment for almost 2 decades (as an adult as well as with my family). Sidenote: when first came to Possidi his establishment was a fishing hut that was barely standing. But i guess that's what's up with people around here. Not only you help them out, afterwards they are quick to forget where they came from.

Very bad experience. The only bad experience in this year's holiday was at this tavern and we are very disappointed. The food is bad, greasy and overpriced, the waiting staff is rude and acts as if they are royalty feeding beggars. They made us feel unwelcomed the second we sat at the table, then they refused to allow us to pay with two bills because "it's policy" although their bills are scribbled on paper and not even real invoices and they could have made to bills with no effort whatsoever. The waiter had an expression of contempt on his face and was slamming plates in front of us so rudely and aggresively he completely ruined our lunch. Most of us felt sick after eating at this place so keep away from it, there are plenty of lovely places with excellent customer service and fresh ...

During our vacation we’ve had dinner two times here and the food was amazing every time. We had the sea bass (1.8 kg) with fried zucchinis, french fries, garlic salad and garlic sauce. This was more than enough for 4 persons if you struggle with guessing the right proportions for a small group of people. The dinner here was exquisite, tasty and out of this world to be honest. I wasn’t even a big fan of fish, but this one changed my opinion entirely. You have to try it! The staff was very friendly, and the view was amazing as well! An advice would be to call in advance to book a table. People are staying in line to get to this restaurant and once a table is cleared it’s taken by someone else in a matter of seconds, that’s how much people like this place haha.
