Ambrosia Taverna — Restaurant in Kassandra Municipality

This is the best taverna in Afytos. We (a couple) were 4 nights there and the food was more than amazing, it was very tasty and fresh. The best part of the taverna was the staff and the owner. ❤️ You definitely NEED to try the taverna you can also listen to amazing greek songs and enjoy your meal. Their prices are the best at Afytos and the portions are big.

We are truly grateful for everything that the staff did for us. We felt welcomed, respected and mostly it felt like we were at home. First of all, it was very difficult to place our order (no one came until we called someone). The food also took a long time to arrive, although it was tasty. Eventually, we were brought bread that we hadn't ordered, and they took it back. At the end, the bill included the unordered bread at a price of €4. When we asked why we had to pay for something we didn’t order or eat, their response was: “That’s just how we write it on the bill, but actually it’s for the tablecloth, cutlery, service, etc.” – something that is not mentioned anywhere. Overall okay, friendly host. Ordered linguine seafood which was not the best. The pasta was okay, but the seafood was not cooked well. The squid was chewy, and the rest could have been better overall. It was missing garlic as I could not taste it or smell it. Also ordered swordfish which was way better, nicely grilled, juicy and very tasty. Music is also a bit too loud. The main server/manager not sure who it was didn't like that I said we are coming from Macedonia so he corrected me that it's North Macedonia now instead.
