Cafe Boschetto — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Attempted dinner for 7 last night around 8 pm. The host, a tall slim man in his late 50s , greeted us by saying he only wanted cash cash cash, no credit cards. Ok, no problem. Then arranged for three mismatch tables of different heights and sizes to accommodate 7. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night. Oblivious to the inconvenience of miss matched tables, when there were plenty of perfect matching tables around, I took the odd table and walked to replace it with a matching one from nearby. The worst service ever. They never brought breakfast -we ordered breakfast at 9.30 and at 10.30 we have been served coffee and nothing else. No omelets no continental breakfast So we said we are leaving because we had a connection boat to Meganisi to catch. The waitress said ok and asked for six euros . We called the manager and he said sorry he had to many people to serve. Faking a pos failure (whole day without internet as mentioned from waitress) so we would not pay by card as they wanted it cash. Not communicated in advance that this was the issue. As we are informed, this is a typical practice for this cafe. We had to pick up money from the wall where we paid extra bank commission just so they are able to hide some win from the tax authorities as no receipt was issued. Poor service as well, so avoid.
