As a native Greek, this is the best restaurant I have ever gone to. We ordered the carbonara and chicken fillets. The carbonara wasn't authentic but it was adapted to Greek cuisine in the best way. They used apaki instead of guanciale which is very similar but less chewy. It was fantastic. The chicken fillets were very soft and flavourful. The sauce that came with the chicken had fresh spearmint which did overshadow the other flavours a bit but it was very unique. We stayed in 10/2024 at Kalaria. At this time there is not much going on and everything is going better. The tavern offers good traditional cuisine in the market square of Lefkas. The waiters are friendly and fast. Good food also takes some time, because everything is freshly prepared. We had burgers and oyster mushrooms from the grill, which we liked very much. This restaurant served typical (tzatziki, Greek salad, feta, etc) and special lefkada dishes that are inspired from Greek and Italian culture (this is because Italy is nearby). It is located on a square and surrounded by multiple other restaurants and cafés. The food is great and so is the service. I loved the Dokas(Ntokas) salad which is feta, tomato, salami, and croutons.
