My recent dining experience at Arodo was nothing short of a disaster, primarily due to their fish dish. I ordered the tuna steak, and what I received was a prime example of how not to serve fish.
To begin with, the tuna steak arrived at the table with a dark color, and it was evident that something was seriously wrong with the fish. While I had requested the dish to be served rare, it was far from the freshness one would expect. The fish had gone bad, and the unmistakable smell was enough to put off even the most adventurous eaters. It was a clear indication of the lack of attention to quality and food safety at the restaurant.
The fact that they served fish in such a questionable state is appalling and raises serious concerns about their kitchen practices. As a customer, I expect to be served food that is fresh, well-prepared, and safe to eat. Unfortunately, Arodo failed to meet these basic standards.
As if the distressing meal wasn't enough, the service was also subpar. When we finally managed to get the attention of the waiter to discuss the issue, we were met with reluctance and an unwillingness to acknowledge the problem. Rather than taking responsibility and apologizing for their mistake, the staff chose to brush off our concerns, leaving us feeling even more dissatisfied.
My friends and I left Arodo with disappointed palates and a sense of regret for choosing to dine there. It's disheartening to see a restaurant with such potential for a pleasant dining experience fall short in every aspect.
In light of this distressing encounter, I strongly advise anyone considering dining at Arodo to think twice. The poorly handled fish dish and the indifferent response from the staff are red flags that should not be ignored. There are numerous other establishments in the area that value their customers' health and satisfaction, and Arodo is certainly not one of them. Spare yourself the unpleasantness and look elsewhere for a more enjoyable...
Read more‼️WOMEN AND GIRLS LISTEN UP‼️ ME AND MY FRIEND GOT SPIKED AT THIS RESTAURANT This review is not to bash the entire restaurant but to make women aware as we were super lucky but someone else maybe wouldn’t be. Me and my friend had looked for restaurants near to where we were staying and the reviews here were really good. At first glance location was good, food looked great and majority of the staff seemed professional but as soon as we arrived there were 2 guys specifically who me and my friend suspect, one being the bartender (which we only found out later) and one being a waiter. The restaurant was very packed most of the waiters where stressing out, sweating etc and these 2 guys had a bit too much time to talk to us. The bartender took our order and we initially didn’t think to drink anything but he proceeded to ask us if we wanted a cocktail so we decided to share a mojito. The mojito was served and it was pink but the rest of them seemed to be clear. Me and my friend thought that they had just put food colouring in it to match our outfit as we were both wearing pink. We both took 2 sips each and felt really dizzy and nauseous. The waiter made a comment while laughing asking if the drink was good and the bartender asked us where we were from which was weird as they didn’t talk to anyone else. We took this as a sign to put the drink away pay the bill and leave as we had a feeling the drink was spiked. I asked one of the 2 waiters for the bill and he didn’t give it too us even though he was standing right next to us I asked 2-3 times until I asked someone else and we finally got to leave. Thank god we were aware and trusted our intuition as it could’ve gone so much worse than it had if we...
Read moreIt came with a great deal of bitterness to realise that a restaurant specialised in fish, open on prom, can serve such horrible food. Everything about this place was disappointing to say the least. Starting from the beginning, the appetisers were decent, but they were brought at different times, not all together as one should expect. We ordered wine, taste was ok, but it was filled to the rim and so when we tried to pour it, it spilled everywhere. None of the servers offered to pour for us. The chief of servers later sat down at the table next us smoking and talking with what looked like another guest. We felt bad to interrupt him from his obvious break. Then a woman came to beg at the tables with a bluetooth speaker doing karaoke, and for only 2 euros you could listen to 30 seconds of what you would consider traditional greek music. All of this happened while the chief of staff was there. Then the main course appeared. Seafood platter for 2 and mussels in white sauce. Sauce was disappointing, little but overall you could eat it. The seafood platter on the other hand, had us praying that we will not get food poisoning. Every mistake you could make preparing seafood was there. Fish was very dry, it didn’t taste as fresh as anywhere else I have eaten, shrimps had a bad texture and the mussels on the platter were downright disgusting. You can find better calamari at Lidl. The view was ok. Tourist trap Probably this place also buys reviews...
