Piperia — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

This risotto has an intresting history... It was taken a tour through the old faithful gayser, the amanemu hot springs, and the Black Smoke hydrothermal vents. It was boiled for 3 hours, drained, frozen and then microwaved and boiled one more time, before arriving semi-cold in our table. The home made zucchini balls were most likely made at the zucchini home factory, also microwaved to perfection. Not that bad though. Beef patty was good, the sausages as well. The staff was friendly and happy, probably because they avoided the risotto, much better than how Frodo was unable to avoid Mount Doom were this horrific...

Long waiting times. They took the order and after 15 min camecsaykng that the kitchen is very busy and they will not serve fresh juices (orange and lemon!). The other surprise was that we ordered sea bass, but they replacesd ut with sea bream “because there is no more bass”, without telling us. Not even when they brought it after 45 min! Wow, what a wonderful place. We stopped for a light lunch and had an amazing Manouri salad and some truly outstanding (and we have eaten many) home made Mousaka and some lovely white wine. The family service was so friendly and helpful. A lovely view across the water and a gentle breeze.
