Carefully prepared unpretentious meals. We ordered the Paramithi salad. A sprinkling of sesame seeds and a judicious drizzle of oil and vinegar dressing. Crowned with a light, silky goat cheese with a texture reminiscent of moscarpone. Our proprietor explained that this is the first phase of what otherwise might have become feta.
I had a spaghetti with ground beef. The proprietor asked whether I liked it spicy. (I do.) And that's what arrived at the table. Al dente with a light portion of ground beef.
My husband ordered chicken fillet. This was plated with a reasonable portion of roasted potato slices. We've had those various places but this time it was perfectly executed. Almost like potato chips (crisps) on the exterior with a creamy interior. The chicken was moist, sauteed in olive oil, a fine garlic paste and basil.
This is not fancy food. And there are no waiters fauning over diners or showing off their international linguistic acquisitions. Just food prepared with respect and care.

Read moreI've never had a more unpleasant experience than this anywhere in Greece, and that's not because of the ambience, the way the tavern is set up, but because of the way "I wasn't served". After placing the order and i wait of about one hours, they managed to bring two of the three dishes ordered. After giving them another chance, ordering another beer and waiting another half hour I gave up (they admitted they messed up the order). It is not possible to come to the table and ask "Did you order this?". Embarrassing to compromise yourself in such a situation. People come for the Greek experience, but everything has a limit...
P.S. I think there is also a lot of bad will on the part of the waiter, he is simply overwhelmed by the situation, not to mention the one from the kitchen who is the same. A piece of advice... look for another job because public catering is...
Read moreFood was hit or miss. What's called garlic salad it turned to be cold garlic mashed potatoes. I would never called it salad and placed on menu as appetizer. Grilled dorada was served too dry and was lack of seasoning. I definitely had much better one in few restaurants around Greece. Mushrooms saganaki and moussaka were spot on. Greek salad was average. We ordered fresh orange juice but was never served. Restaurant ambience was nice, live music. Service was OK, nothing personal or remember about it. That was also only one of two restaurants during our three weeks stay in Greece which didn't served free desert or ouzo after meal and we eat out every single day during our stay. Overall average place. We had better meals including other restaurants...
