Eakion — Restaurant in Municipality of Aegina

I wouldnt recommend it to anybody because of the service. Me and my boyfriend were walking on the seaside after dinner and wanted to have some dessert. The waiter from the restaurant started chatting to us, and we said we just want something sweet. He didn’t let us have a look at the menu, he told us to have a look inside. The prices were on every piece of cake, each baclava was 2 euros. (I thought in my head that it is quite cheap...) So we sat down and he asked if we wanted it with some vanilla ice cream, we said sure. We sat down at our table and he gave us two glasses of water and an ashtray, which we didnt care about as we dont smoke. As we finished our cake, we were looking for him to try to ask him for the bill, when I saw that he put the receipt under the ashtray, which said that each cake is 7 euros. I asked him if it was ours, he said yes, and gave me the menu as a proof. From experience the waiters always give you the receit obviously, so you know what you can expect. It turned out that the cake more than doubled its price because we ate it at the restaurant, but he didnt think it would be good to inform us any time. Horrible experience - Horrible service

I am a tourist in Aegina and me and my husband saw this ice cream place and decided to stop by their stand and choose the ice creams we wanted, they had tables to sit outside, so after getting our ice creams we sat in on of those tables. One minute later a waiter comes screaming at us “what is this, what is this?!” And we didn’t understand, he continued shouting in front of everyone else saying that we couldn’t sit there, so we explained we had bought ice cream there and we sat to eat. He said we couldn’t sit there and told us to leave. We were so embarrassed by all the screaming with us, and everyone staring at us, that I went back inside the shop to ask why couldn’t we sit there. They said that if you buy in used the shop at the ice cream counter you can’t sit outside. You need to order from the table. For me that is a bad customer experience and something I am not used to. Even if we can’t sit outside after buying there the weirder could have been more polite when approaching us. I would definitely not recommend this place and...

32€/kg for baklava that is RIDICULOUS! The prices are just ridiculously high. I took 4 small pieces of baklava (2 almond 2 pistachio) and I was charged 6,60€! I made a remark to the lady but she just answered with a bad attitude “yes, because it s per kilo!”. That s not a good explanation for such a high price. I understand that pistachio here in AIGINA are good quality and that they are more expensive than almonds but the price per kilo of the baklava are the same for pistachio and almond (which is not even logical). So paying 32€ per kilo for almond baklava is just ridiculous. The service is not friendly. They just want to make as much money as they can during summer and hit hard with the prices.
