I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Beach Bar Macrame by Voulisma, located close to Agios Nikolaos, and I must say it was an incredible experience. Situated on Voulisma beach, the beach bar offers a breathtaking view that is truly captivating.
The interior of the bar is simply amazing, boasting a stylish design that perfectly complements the beach ambiance. The staff members are friendly and attentive, ensuring that you have a pleasant and enjoyable time. Each sunbed area has its own dedicated waiter who promptly serves drinks and food, making you feel pampered and well taken care of.
While the price for the normal sunbeds on the corner may seem a bit high at 50€, it's important to note that this includes a minimum order of 30€. Considering the overall experience and the opportunity to stay the whole opening hours from 10:00 to 19:00, it's absolutely worth the price. You can indulge in exceptional food and drinks right at your sunbed while relishing the magnificent view.
One of the highlights of the Beach Bar Macrame is the option to take a dip in the pool, enjoy a refreshing cocktail while submerged in the water, or simply venture a few meters down to the beautiful turquoise water of the beach itself. The great music, sometimes with a live DJ, adds some Ibiza vibes to the experience. The versatility of the location adds to the overall appeal and provides different ways to enjoy your time.
I must commend the general manager, Angelo, for his exceptional hospitality and friendliness. He went out of his way to ensure that every guest felt welcome and had a delightful experience. Additionally, the restaurant for the evening provided a pleasant ambiance, and the food was absolutely delicious.
Overall, I would highly recommend Beach Bar Macrame by Voulisma to anyone seeking a memorable beachside experience. With its stunning views, impeccable interior, attentive staff, and exceptional food and drinks, this place deserves a solid 5/5 rating. Good to know:...
Read moreWe had a very good experience at Macramé by Voulisma Beach. The setting is beautiful and the view is simply incredible, making the place truly unique.
Initially, we wanted to use the sunbeds by the sea, but these cannot be reserved in advance: it’s first come, first served, as stated on their website. This means the area fills up quickly, so it’s best to arrive early. However, the sunbeds by the pool can be reserved in advance, which is highly recommended as the beach club gets busy from around 1 PM. The price is reasonable: €30 for a parasol with two sunbeds in the front row, with a minimum spend of €40.
The food was good, though slightly more expensive compared to other beach clubs in the area. The atmosphere was amazing, with a DJ creating a lively and fun vibe throughout the day. The service was smooth and efficient, with attentive and quick waiters and waitresses.
There are two pools on site. They are not very large, but it wasn’t an issue as there weren’t too many people in them, even when the beach club was full. Regarding the beach, it’s worth noting that the water wasn’t very clean on the day we visited, with some papers and plastic floating around (which isn’t the beach club’s fault, but still worth knowing).
Overall, Macramé is a fantastic place with a lively atmosphere and quality service, perfect for spending a relaxing day between the beach...
Read moreWow! An amazing place to come to for a chilled day, afternoon or evening in Istron! They offer table service including a sushi menu which we ordered from for lunch which was absolutely delicious and really lovely to be able to eat by our sun loungers too :-) There are lots of different options of beds including a few beds by the sea but I think the beds by the sea will get reserved quite early in the day. We had plenty of options to choose from on the upper section when we arrived at lunch time. Our beds were super comfy and had the back drop of the hills and pine forests. They ask for a minimum spend in food and drink too, so we paid 30€ for the poolside beds and our minimum spend was 40€ (cheaper options and less minimum spends are available) but by the time we’d had a few drinks (5€ for a large beer so not too pricey) and we added lunch on top we had clea that amount and were extremely happy with the quality of the food service for a day out in a really beautiful setting. If you don’t have a car or scooter to get here there is a bus stop approximately 150 metres from the entrance way for the public coach service. Overall 5* for service, location, food and generally something relaxing and indulgent that won’t break the bank for...
