Kavos is an exceptional taverna located on the stunning coastline of Voulisma Beach in Crete. With its breathtaking views, friendly staff, delectable fresh food, and super nice and relaxed atmosphere, it is the perfect destination for a post-beach visit or a fantastic dinner in a laid-back setting.

From the moment we stepped foot into Kavos, we were enveloped in a warm and welcoming ambiance. The staff went above and beyond to create a relaxed atmosphere, treating us like cherished friends.

The food at Kavos was simply outstanding. We savored the delightful pita and olive oil, and the appetizers like saganaki cheese, Dolmades, Talamar, and zatziki were bursting with authentic flavors. The grilled octopus, fishermen pasta along with the other seafood and meat dishes, were absolutely amazing.

A beautiful taverna positioned ideally opposite one of the most beautiful beaches in Crete. Instantly greeted by very welcoming staff, a husband and wife team backed by equally friendly waiters who couldn’t do enough to please! The food and drinks are top notch, freshly made with love and if you’re a meat eater then you have to try the Lamb Kavos! You’ll be back to order it again, and again! Portions of all the dishes are very generous indeed, so you’ll need a huge appetite when you go. Together with his dear wife, David the owner is super cool, larger than life, we chatted like we’ve known each other for years. Noticed they have many other regular customers who’ve been going for years judging by the way they too were greeted by the owners. Family friendly this place is like coming home to eat. Beautifully decorated, very clean and a lovely place to sit back, relax and eat some amazingly tasty Greek food. You won’t be disappointed once you go.
