Ate here because of the positive reviews. There were no specials on Sunday night which was disappointing. We managed to get a window seat overlooking the sea. Service was good with the main man very charming. The two complimentary mezes were good. We ordered starters first as we prefer two courses rather than everything coming close together. Like all the Cretan restaurants we have eaten in, we noticed this was the case here. The fried zucchini with cheese was delicious as were the anchovies, we ordered a Greek salad to accompany both courses. Both were large portions so we stuck starters rather than main courses. Sausage was not available (first choice) so went for meatballs in tomato sauce and two pork souvlaki. Again all delicious. Free chocolate cake with ice cream was a lovely finish to a good meal. With a litre of house red the bill came to 39.40 euros. Cards are accepted.

The waiters are very friendly. We got a nice place and they helped us very fast. You first get a (little) starter from the house. We liked the food, it was very good and more then enough. The only things that where not very good was the timing of the food. We got both a starter, my wife got hers first and 10 minutes later ive got mine. When we orderd our main dish, we borh orderd the same. But only one main dish was deliverd. But we don,t complain, the food was good, you get a dessert from the house as well and it was not much money.

Ended up being a favourite place during a week in Agios Nikolaos - went back on three separate evenings, which says all you need to know! So much nicer than the louder, more touristy places in the town centre, and really nice, down-to-earth staff. But the food - wow. The souvlaki skewers are amazing, and their Kolokythakia dish one of the best. It's not dear at all, either - one of the best value restaurants in town. Absolutely recommend this place for a quieter spot and quality Cretan food.

Nummer 1 in Agios Nikolaos: Wir waren Anfang April zweimal dort. Das erste Mal wurden uns gleich der teuerste Wein und die Dorade empfohlen. Das Teuerste für Touristen? Nachdem wir aber ablehnten und einen günstigen, aber zum Essen passenden kretischen Weißwein (Flasche Vilana, 22.-) wählten, war alles gut. Erbsenpüree und anderes kommen als Begrüßung. Zum Nachtisch etwas Süßes, aber kein Alkohol. Die Vorspeisen und die Hauptgänge schmeckten, Mezes sind "kleine" Teller, man bestellt mehrere und alle können von allem probieren. Die Lammchops waren mit den Pommes auf den Punkt gebracht. Da praktisch alle Lokale dieselbe Speisenauswahl haben, sollte man bedenken, dass alle irgendwie ähnlich zubereiten. Hauptgerichte kommen ohne Beilagen, die sollen gesondert bestellt werden. Geschmack, Portionen und eine richtig aufmerksame Bedienung (Nachschenken beim Wein) waren im Paradosiako absolut spitze. Man kann, wenn die Abende lau sind, draußen an der Straße sitzen, aber das machte keinen sympathischen Eindruck. Wasser gibt es oft gratis oder für wenig Geld, anders als in München (!). An einem Sonntagnachmittag warteten Griechen bis auf die Straße, um einen Platz im Restaurant zu bekommen. Das spricht doch für sich!

Siamo stati in questo ristorante spinti dalle ottime recensioni su Google. Prenoto online e dopo un paio d'ore di attesa di conferma, decido di chiamare. Al telefono mi dicono che non ci sarebbe stato modo di prendere la mia prenotazione, dal momento che era tutto già pieno ma che avrebbero segnato il mio nome nella lista. Dopo mezz'ora mi arriva la mail di conferma, tutto ok, la mia prenotazione era confermata. Ora, non avendo detto al telefono che avevo già effettuato richiesta di prenotazione online, la cosa già mi era sembrata strana. Arriviamo in questo locale, carino. Personale apparentemente cortese. Apparentemente, dal momento che fin da subito è stato tutto uno sbattere di piatti e bicchieri sul tavolo, risposte veloci e richieste mai evase. Capocameriere scontroso. Abbiamo chiesto di avere indicazioni su quali vini fossero disponibili al calice. Mai avuto risposta. Ho dovuto chiedere due volte una bottiglia di acqua a due camerieri differenti, perché il primo non l'aveva mai portata. Il saganaki, immangiabile. Una fetta di scamorza unta e bisunta non sciolta al suo interno. Merluzzo fritto buono. Nulla di memorabile per un conto nella media. Non consigliato.

Very very cozy and nice restaurant. I think one if the best in Agios (I was there 4 times, so have discovered a lot of place). The place where local people are hanging out. The host was so friendly, suggested us a best dishes, not lying what is frozen, and what is fresh. and the waiters are nice too. Highly recommended this place. And you definitely have to try octopus and sardines ❤️
