Quite disappointing really. It started ok as i had some excellent calamari. It all went wrong when the mains arrived. I'd ordered pork souvlaki and my wife ordered moussaka. My wife's moussaka was still fridge cold. We called the waiter back - he apologised and went to warm it up. My wife thought for a few seconds and decided to cancel the order because of how cold it still was, i would of finished mine before her's arrived back at the table. Again the waiter apologised. We asked him what had gone wrong. He told us there was a mix up on another table with someone who had ordered a vegetarian moussaka but had taken my wife's out of the oven and given to that the other table by mistake. Of course that was sent back. But it then left them one moussaka short, but because mine was almost ready and didn't want to spoil they put another moussaka in the oven for 3mins instead of 8mins and sent them both to the table at the same time 'knowing' the moussaka cold, which is unforgivable. We obviously asked them remove it from the bill. We asked for the bill a couple of times. When it eventually arrived - the moussaka was still on it! So we had to wait again for it to be ammended. No discount or money off offered even tho it had spoiled the night. We were given free cake and ice cream but then found out everybody gets...
Read moreWe were a group of 6. We arrived at 7.40pm, and they took our orders at 8 pm. We waited patiently because we saw they were busy. However, after waiting ONE HOUR, and after seeing that all the tables around us were served even if all of them arrived after us, we decided to ask what happened with our order. One person apologetically told us it takes a little more, another person was very rude. We were served at 9.30 and we told them we won't have desert anymore because it is just too late and we had to walk back to the hotel. One person offered us deserts that they already had as a curtesy, and when they were delivered at the table, the rude person returned them to the kitchen. Out of 6 dishes, 3 were not cooked enough, and I couldn't chew the pork meat. The other 3 were fine. Which shows again that somehow they forgot about our orders. Most likely otherwise the food is great but when it gets very busy mistakes happen and we are the few unlucky ones to leave the place with a bitter taste. I hope they take this as constructive feedback and make sure it doesn't happen again to others. Our friends had a good experience 3...
Read moreYou are on holiday to have fun, I think the staff here have as much fun as the guests. There is always something happening; an impromptu dance, a bit of singing, someone's birthday, plates being smashed etc. The seats and tables are a lot nicer than those around, definitely classier. It is a real family affair, run by Amelia aged 7, she manages her dad who leads the floor and mum as well. Other relatives work the bar and kitchen. The food is good but the whole thing together makes for a great evening out. Thanks for the Raki! Lawrence (dad) is a busy man , but not too busy to have a drink with you and share a story. Thanks to mum as well , whose name I never got, good luck and keep it up you are doing great . The free appetisers are a step up from the norm In the UK when I get a service charge, the tip given will be; go to Amelia's are learn what good...
