We decided upon this restaurant based on the other positiv reviews but were heavily disappointed. The staff was friendly but overworked, understaffed and not professional. (Running around, wrong items, collecting the plate took long and was unprofessional, ordering took a long time) The food was a catastrophic disappointment. We ordered the following: -Zuchini Flowers (the rice was undercooked and the flowers them self were cold and made in old oil which made them taste horrendous) -Fried Zuchini (the pieces were cut without much love, put into batter and fried on the same old oil, we ate much much better nearby where the people were proud of making their food) -Feta Saganaki with Honey and Fried Feta with Paprica and Spices. (Both items were grilled on the same dirty BBQ Grill they probably use for fish and meat. I am no Vegan or Vegetarian but the Feta tasted like old fish and meat, at the same time. We didn’t finish that meal) -Greek Salad (can’t go wrong here but presentation was weak and pieces were cut without much love or thought)
Sadly on the next day we suffered quite the stomach ache in our group (5 people) probably from the old oil. There would be a lot to improve here and except for the mentioned problems the place looked nice and had a cozy...
Read moreIt started so well, we arrived around 4 PM and had wonderful Greek and frappe coffee and delicious well portioned apple pie and baklava. Staff were really friendly and worked very hard and very efficiently . We stayed on the beach and around 8 PM came back to the restaurant. We were really disappointed with the evening food, we ordered souvlaki. There was hardly any chicken on it. It was a just a few strips with vegetables on a skewer really bizarre from what we’ve eaten and the rest of Crete where you have chunks. I had chicken on the spit and there was hardly any chicken, it was all carcass . The Greek salad was ok except it had lettuce in it, but realize all restaurants have slight variations , it wasn’t bad. Ordered the aubergine salad and it had a lot of mayonnaise in it. We sent that back as it was an authentic, we’ve been traveling around Crete for a week and greatly disappointed with this meal. It was so strange the lack of chicken. I would highly recommend it for desserts and cakes and coffee and was a lovely place to sit, but had to give it a low score because of the...
Read moreWe went to the restaurant after seeing a lot of good rewievs. But right now we regret it. First of all- greek salad- no dressing, its good that they give olive oil on table. For main dish we have ordered Sea platter for 2. The food was very disappointing. Prawns were grilled whole in shells, but it was impossible to separate meat from it- thats the first thing that lead us to think that the whole food is reheated. Small fried fish (in batter) were not crispy, felt also like reheated. We received one swordfish fillet and one octopus tentacle- maybe in plate for one person they serve half of them. Squids were also not crispy as fried meals should be. Under each table there is a small shelf that presents a weeks old dust collection. Most disappoinitng visit during whole...
