Potamida — Restaurant in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

Visited Agia Galini beach and unfortunately ended up there, as their sunbeds are right in front of the entrance to the beach, where we parked our cars. All looked nice and staff was friendly until we had to pay. We did ask how much for the set of umbrella and sunbed, but have been told it’s free because we’re costumers and having drinks. Sweet. Almost 50 euros for 4 drinks! When asked why is the price so high, we’ve been told we’re paying for the sets as well. Wouldn’t be such an issue if not been told different at the beginning and the waiter wouldn’t be so rude. Plenty of tavernas that are actually offering their sunbeds for free if you order something, so avoid this...

Great relaxed laid-back beach taverna.

We traveled to Agia Galini to avoid the rain in the north and stumbled upon their car park. We came through the back entrance and were greeted by the owner who explained that the loungers and umbrellas on the beach were free and we could order food and drinks if we wanted but there was no obligation or pressure. Of course we stayed for lunch which was very tasty.

We didn’t use them but they also had some tables and couches in the beach for drinks or would bring you drinks to your loungers.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating and there was no hard sell. Overall a great day...

Unbelievable experience! We enjoyed our visit to Potamida a lot! Once you arrive at Agia Galini beach park your car and follow the beach to the left. It's the perfect spot if you love a cozy place away from the sun ☀️😎. It combines everything from your typical swim along with coffee to your delicious lunch with a lot of tasty options to choose from. We ordered a Greek salad, the garlic and olive pasta and some garlic bread. The service was super nice and they also offered us raki to drink at the end. Really amazing and highly recommended if you'd like to spend the day in a calm shadow place in Agia...
