Staff is very kind and nice.View and interior design are very beautiful indeed. Salads were very small (especially given price) and the Greek salas had only half a tomato inside. Even though we were only two tables of people, we waited over one hour for the fish.Due to nutritional needs i requested grilled vegetables as a side with the fish. I was told i can choose from fried potatoes (which is not something i would expect from a restaurant of this class) or local boiled greens. As I cannot eat potatoes, i had to choose the second. It was very disappointing as it was flavorless and not matching the fish (which was indeed fresh and lovely) at all. I told the waiter that i cannot enjoy the fish without a side (especially given that i barely had any salad and was starving), and that the side which i was served was not good at all, and asked for some grilled vegetables. I was told they don’t have any. As a result i could not eat the fish and left it to my companions, and left the restaurant very hungry and went to eat someplace else. Without question, Branda is the best restaurant on the island. The menu is sophisticated and infused with local Cycladic flavors to elevate each and every dish. The service is phenomenal - our glasses were never less than half full. The staff was attentive yet discrete in order to still provide a private dining atmosphere but cater to every table’s needs. Staff made excellent recommendations for wines, appetizers, and desserts with extensive knowledge about each item’s history and origination. Read moreThis is hands down the best place in Batsi for more modern / refined food. I would recommend it to everyone looking for an alternative to the traditional greek cuisine. We ordered a salad and smoked eggplant a starters. Especially the eggplant was really memorable and very creamy. As main dish we had tofu with roasted pumpkin and chicken with quinoa salad. The tofu was really interesting as it was slightly fermented. The chicken also tasted very good, but was slightly too dry. It is really hard to nail though, unless brined or cooked sous-vide, as for safety reasons chicken should never be undercooked. The only slight complains we had is that the menu didn't offer many vegetarian options for my girlfriend and the music was a tad anoying as we stood next to another restaurant and had loud EDM in one ear and 80's songs in the other ear.
