Alex Garden Bar - Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

AVOID. Not a serious restaurant, worst experience I had in thousands of restaurants in tens of countries I’ve been. Food was not good, service terrible and a very bad experience that follows. The saganaki, the salad and the salmon are very bad. Too much salt and badly cooked cheap salmon (18€ dish)

We called and booked for two people with a small dog and they said it was no problem, when we arrived we found out that the restaurant has 5 aggressive annoying cats “of the neighbor” running around and begging all the tables for food moaning the whole time. They attacked multiple times our peaceful dog and intimidated him so we could not really eat trying to avoid the cats attacks.

I had to throw the expensive water we paid supposedly to drink to them every two minutes to keep them away from us and we kept eating anxiously and said nothing.

Before our main dishes arrive a rude male waiter came to our table and said “enough with the water, you annoy the customers” when the customers were also in first place annoyed by their multiple cats moaning next to them and their table for half hour while they ate. I asked him what he wants us to do, and he basically asked us to leave and take the food to go. The badly cooked and bad quality food that we paid 50€ to get our worst experience of our lives and spoil our first day of our anniversary vacations. The absolute shame and disgrace… No words…. Our dog is 6 kg, 7 years old, we have him everywhere with us, restaurants, cafes, beaches, planes, boats, hotels… He is used to it and he is familiar with the shops, so he is quiet, we have never had a similar problem and such treatment.

Wonderful experience at Alex Garden Restaurant in Dassia

I recently visited Alex Garden Restaurant in Dassia on my own, and from the moment I arrived, I felt truly welcomed and comfortable. The space is beautiful and well-kept, with a peaceful garden that creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere.

I ordered a Caesar salad, saganaki, and the traditional sofrito – everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The sofrito, in particular, was one of the best I’ve ever had in Corfu.

Both waiters who served me were exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. A special thanks to Nikos, who was especially kind and attentive, making me feel right at home.

We've just had a wonderful evening at this taverna, and are already planning to come back at least once more before we leave. The food was excellent, the setting charming, and the staff friendly and courteous. Definitely our best meal in Corfu so far.

As an update, we dined here twice more during our stay. I would highly recommend the pastitsada, it was the best I had in Corfu. The gents working there are great fellas too, unfortunately we didn't catch their names.
